100km in 2 minutes...

What a weekend at the Surf Coast Century. Thanks to all the legends who made it such a spectacle – from runners, to vollys, to supporters, sponsors, vendors and mother nature who turned on the weather!

It was a festival of athleticism meets humanity and we can safely say BOTH are alive and well in 2026.

This little edit is a precursor to the proper highlights vid that will be out later in the week.

My first 100km 🏃‍♀️ No expectations. 10hrs 15min of incredible coastline, wide beaches (with hard sand luckily!), rock pools, red cliffs, single track through the forest, a few hills, cockatoos and so much encouragement from other runners and spectators. I couldn’t stop smiling! Still can’t quite believe I was first female (6th overall) at the @rapidascent Surf Coast Century 🌞

The Surf Coast is a spectacular place to run (the last two pics are sunrise and sunset over the coast where we ran ✨✨)

This race was so different from Transcend 65km a few weeks ago where I pushed too hard at the start and up the hills, rushed through the aid stations without fuelling properly and ran out of energy for the last 10km. Yesterday I wasn’t focusing on a finish time or place.. I was there to run my longest race, be present and enjoy it, and everything fell into place 🙏

Margs ultra trail marathon 🏃‍♀️🌞 #capetocapetrack is such a spectacular place to run! Highlight was the huge flock of carnabys cockatoos on the Mt Duckworth climb at sunrise 🤍

4hrs 28min, which was slower than last year (by 18min!).. sand felt so much softer than last year and my shoes were completely full of sand by the end 🙈 Happy to finish in 7th place (second female) ☺️

Running to save Takayna 🏃‍♀️🌱🌏🌳💚 2nd overall!!

Toughest 62km I’ve run .. so much mud, steep climbs and descents (over 2,000m elevation gain 🏔️) and fallen trees to climb over, but also the most rewarding.

Such a special way to experience the ancient Takayna rainforest, the icy crystal clear rivers, giant moss covered trees, waist high button grass and hear black cockatoos singing at sunrise. The highlight was a HUG from Bob Brown at the finish line 🌞 almost $400,000 has been raised to protect Takayna forever!! 💚@bobbrownfoundation

Two weeks till we run in Takayna! 🏃‍♀️ Australia’s largest temperate rainforest and home to the Tassie devil and masked owl 🌳
I’m running 62km through this ancient and wild rainforest in remote north west Tassie to support the @bobbrownfoundation campaign to return this rainforest to aboriginal ownership and protect it forever from mining and logging through national park status 🌏💚

🌳Takayna is Australia’s largest temperate rainforest and is a stronghold for Earth’s largest marsupial carnivore, the Tasmanian Devil, and critical habitat for the Tasmanian Masked Owl, Wedge-tailed Eagles (the nation’s largest birds of prey) Spotted-tailed Quolls, and the Giant Freshwater Crayfish. It is under threat from logging, mining and Chinese government-owned mining company MMG’s plan to build a dam for toxic tailings from its Rosebery silver-lead-zinc mine in Takayna.

What a week! 🏔️🏃‍♀️🌞 hikes, canoeing, ocean pool and a 50km ultra through the snowy mountains. Toughest race I’ve done, ran through snow, 1788m elevation gain and arctic wind, but also so much fun to be running with over 1200 amazing athletes, so many spectators and such beautiful scenery 🙏 @ultratrailkosciuszko

Finished in 5hrs 26min, 11th female and 48th overall ☺️
