Wow I can’t believe it was 6 years ago today that we got my Breast Cancer diagnosis. Yes our boy just turned 6months and we remember it all so clearly!
I am very sorry to say I have lost a couple of friends lately to this horrible disease. So I feel very grateful to be 1 of the lucky ones and I am so sorry to my friends loved ones left behind!
But please let this be a reminder to have your mammograms, scans and smears! Because I promise if caught early you won’t have to go through every treatment like I did.
So book those appointments on Monday please!
Trust me squashing your boobs in a machine is nothing to what follows if you have cancer!
I am still so grateful for all my family and friends that helped us out and of course my rock @bevin.arnold he never left my side and was at almost everything I had done. Love you baby xxx taken in Napier, New Zealand by @melwhite8

I’ve given my Thermomix a little pink makeover for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month - in honour of my self, my MIL, my Aunty’s, cousins and so many friends and others out there💕

Hey all my Greenmeadows school mum friends.

Well now’s your time. Our lovely helpful PTA are putting all these together so our school and tamariki can benefit from them with sports gear.

8 years ago, my world changed forever. 💗

My baby boy Dexter was just 5 months old when I found a lump and heard the words no one ever wants to hear… “You have breast cancer.”

What followed was a chapter I never expected — surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, fear, exhaustion and some incredibly dark days.

But when I look back at these photos, I don’t just see cancer.

I see the people who carried me through it. ❤️

My beautiful Bevo — my biggest support, my rock, my soulmate and my love. You were beside me through every appointment, every treatment, every hard day and every moment I didn’t know how I was going to get through. You stepped up for our family when I couldn’t, and I will forever be grateful that I had you by my side. ❤️

I see our girls, Maddi, who was just 8, and Bella, only 6, our tiny baby Dexter, and our family and friends who surrounded us with so much love.

And I see the people who became part of my journey through Arbonne too — a little piece of normality, purpose and connection during a time when life felt anything but normal.

Somehow, through all of it, I kept putting one foot in front of the other. And in the middle of treatment and raising a 5-month-old baby, I even promoted to Area Manager.

I honestly don’t know where I found the strength some days.

But I know I didn’t find it alone.

8 years on, I’m incredibly grateful to be here.
Grateful for my family.
Grateful for my Bevo.
Grateful for the friends who never stopped showing up.
Grateful for the people who walked beside me.
And grateful for every single day I get to live this life. 💗

These photos hold some of the hardest moments of my life… but they also remind me of just how loved I was — and still am.

8 years. 🎀
8 years of memories.
8 years of life beyond cancer.
