Listen… Saturday night, @adedoyinomotara didn’t just celebrate, she shut down Calgary with her 40th birthday bash! 🔥 It’s been a while since I attended an event without holding a mic, and let me tell you, being a guest felt so good! 😎

There was food for days, drinks flowing, and of course, vibes on 100 thanks to the one and only Presido General himself, @isegunjohnson 🥁🎶

When the mic is in my hand… this is my happy place. 🎤
There’s something I love about stepping into a room, connecting with the people in it, reading the energy and helping create moments that make the experience memorable.
The DANG Match Room Calgary Pop-Up gave me plenty of those moments: conversations, connections, laughter and, of course, a little dancing. 😂
Different rooms call for different energy. The goal is always the same: make the people in it feel part of the experience.

No matter where life takes me, Nigeria will always be a part of who I am. The culture, the humor, the warmth, the resilience and, of course, our ability to find a reason to celebrate even in the midst of everything. 😂

And I couldn’t let my birthday month come to an end without saying a heartfelt THANK YOU. 🥹❤️

Thank you to everyone who celebrated me; every phone call, text, WhatsApp and IG shoutout, prayer, gift and, of course, the alerts 😜😂. I truly felt loved, celebrated and incredibly blessed.

My heart is full, and I’m so grateful for every single person who took the time to make my birthday special.

But above all, I’m grateful to God for His infinite mercies, grace, provision, protection and faithfulness. 🙏🏾

Birthdays have always been a mixed bag of emotions for me. A time to celebrate, yes, but also a time to reflect.

And when I look back at this past year, the mountains, the valleys and everything in between...I’m reminded of one thing: God has been with me through it all.

Even when He felt quiet. Even when He felt distant. He was there all along.

So as I step into another year of life, I do so with a heart full of gratitude.

Grateful for the lessons.
For the people who loved me, supported me and poured into me.
For God’s grace, provision and protection.
For the wisdom and discernment that came through some of the harder moments.

And maybe most importantly, I’m grateful for who I’m becoming.

This season, I’m choosing to show up fully as the woman I was created to be. No more second-guessing myself. No more shrinking.

I’m embracing all of me and giving myself permission to keep growing, evolving, learning and becoming.

So here’s to more life, more joy, good health, peace of mind, new adventures, answered prayers, beautiful surprises and continued growth. 🥂

And just like that… we made it to Part 3! 😂💄✨

After all the searching, the hotel switch, the timeline change and me repeatedly saying I did NOT want to do my own makeup… 😭

Soooo… how did I do? 👀😂

One thing this experience definitely did was give me an even greater appreciation for the amazing makeup artists who have had me looking GOOD over the years! 🙌🏾💄

Shoutout to @obianuju_d @comakeupartistry @adedoyinomotara @prettyinksignature @beautybyanner — you ladies deserve your flowers! 💐 Because doing this myself reminded me that this is truly a SKILL. 😂👏🏾

And maybe that makeup class still needs to be added to my professional development plan. 😂

But makeup done, outfit on… it was time to switch gears.

MC MODE: ACTIVATED. 🎤🔥

And THAT is how the Seattle edition of Adventures of a Traveling MC ends. ✈️🎤
