Shasn was already a great game, but Azadi… damn ! The theme isn’t really my favourite, but the artwork and design are absolutely top notch. The details, clean layout and overall presentation make you want to get it straight onto the table. And honestly, big appreciation to Indian board game designers and artists - the quality coming out of India is seriously impressive. 🇮🇳👏 #BoardGames #BoardGameGeek #azadi #TabletopGames #BoardGame BoardGamer BoardGamesOfInstagram TabletopGaming BoardGaming GameNight BoardGamePhotography IndianBoardGames Azadi Shasn IndianBoardGame taken in Auckland, New Zealand by @meet_eat_play_repeat

🍫 Three Games Thursday & Thematic Thursday = Chocolate! 🍫 Who says chocolate has to be the main theme of a game? Sometimes it's the delicious little details that steal the show! Nom, nom, nom!! This week is all about the chocolatey treats hiding in three very different games, often in plain sight. ☕ Coffee Rush & Piece of Cake (expansion) by @koreaboardgames_en – Running a busy cafe is hard enough, but it's impossible to resist serving up the gorgeous chocolate cupcakes and cakes from the expansion. They look good enough to eat! ! 🏴‍☠️ Pirates of the High Teas by @pinkhawkgames – Tea and cake is already a winning combination, but the rich chocolate cakes and indulgent bakes make this pirate tea party even sweeter. And who doesnt love good old chocolate coins (dubloons! 🏴‍☠️) 🦝 Macaraccoon @memesys_studios – Sweet treats are the star here and we've topped our cheesecakes, waffles and pancakes with plenty of chocolate sauce. Almost enough to make you crave dessert while you play Now we are craving cake, especially Mark (he loves his cake!) 🍰🍫 Which board games do you have that offer up tasty treats? #threegamethursday hosted by @our_tabletop_home #thematicthursday by @boardgameoverlord and chocolate theme by @tabletopsavants Pirates of the High Teas and Macaracoon have also been reviewed through the @ukbg_review_circle team #boardgames #tabletopgames #chocolate by @meet_eat_play_repeat

💜Macaraccoon🧡 In this sugary sweet game, you are collecting transparent ingredient tiles, to form your own delicious stacks of goodies to sell to awaiting customers! With happy customers, comes lots of 🩷 and it’s the person with the most hearts, that wins the game! 👀 First Impressions: The name itself is a selling point really, yet the artwork throughout is eye catching and obviously adorable. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the presentation and components. ▶️Rulebook and GamePlay: I am so glad I read the rulebook as it was very simple to understand, well laid out and I understood within minutes! I did, however, make the mistake of watching the official ‘How-To’ Video on YouTube….Now, this is personal preference and just my opinion but I am Disney loving adult, yet the video was just a bit ‘too much’ even for my taste! When it comes to understanding something, I do like simple and to the point! (Virgo problems) Playing the game itself however, was a simple, strategic delight! Very easy to master, with a slight competitive edge too, as your opponent(s) may see you trying to gain an ingredient and scupper you! The see through tiles and the way you stack them meant you are always thinking ahead…..so basically another game I’m rubbish at, whilst Zach races into the lead! 🌟Summery: I am going to conclude my final thoughts based on the ‘Family’ aspect that Macaraccoon is intended for. We did play as a couple, therefore any negative feelings we did have, I don’t feel are fair! If you would love to have your children learning the basics of set collecting, tile management and strategy (‘In order to get that, I need to first gain that) for the first time, I would say it is brilliant and one for the collection! They would massively appreciate the overall theme, the cute components and with even more players, it would definitely make for a fun family games night! Memories are a powerful part of the human experience - they are the fuel of hindsight that powers our foresight. A few years ago, we had the fortune of sharing Amit’s story - a moving meditation on how we see our memories, and how they shape us. Much gratitude to Amit’s family and the Nirmaya & Tej Kohli Foundation for allowing us to be part of Amit’s journey. When filmmakers make board games, you get more than just great games. The SHASN cinematic trailer is a labor of love that captures the grand drama, political intrigue, and the many twists and turns you can expect with each game of SHASN. Special thanks to the inimitable György Pálfi for helping bring this film to life. @shasnthegame, created by @z_ai_n.bot, is now played in over 70 countries. Have you played it yet? We had the incredible opportunity to make a rare film - a tribute to the cumulative wisdom, resilience and triumph of all the women whose shoulders we stand on today. The scientists and visionaries who have hunted mushrooms, healed femurs, engineered sweetness, broken ceilings, and been the persistent cartographers of human knowledge. Today, Indian women in STEM make up only a fraction of the workforce. That needs to change. One of our most ambitious productions yet, this film would not have been possible without the most outstanding team of collaborators, or the vision and integrity of @avikram and @thebadaga Written, Directed & Produced by @shreyadudheria and @memewala Executive Producer @z_ai_n.bot Director of Photography @satchith_paulose Production Designers @maddymad06 Swapnil Bhalerao Editors @jevan.jena Dharmendra Patella Costume Designer @styledbyindrakshi Casting Directors @kantari_kanmani @ubdiaries Sound Designers @bishwadeepchatterjee Gábor Jr. Erdélyi Colourist @vineeshvijayan.color Hair & Makeup @ladyatplay_tarsha Associate Director @_nadeem.Ahmed Associate Producer @aayush.irl Line Producer @mohammad_mubashshir Production Head @oyesammeep Post Production @shiva.blend Graphics @the__lisha @themadgrapher Research Lead @aayush.irl CAST Aishu + Women in STEM @viraagidurgaa Nitya @preetiwooman Patriarch @aasitredij Senior Scientist Jijo K Mathew Math Class Clerk @sharat_sonu Male Botanist 1 Andrei K Bride Suman Singsa MUSIC Music Director @snekhanwalkar Music Producer @guptashreya30 Lyrics @samyuktha.pc Voices @guptashreya30 @maithilishome Cello @tanikacello Mix @whencut.y @dorian_hues Production House: @memesys_studios by @meet_eat_play_repeat

To introduce our game, SHASN: AZADI, we wanted to make a timeless film that told the story of oppression and resistance through the ages. After extensive meditation on the meaning of revolution, and the pursuit of Azadi, we made this film. The folks at D&AD Awards seemed to like it - and awarded us the Wood Pencil, Best In Advertising for Writing in the Craft category in 2022. SHASN: AZADI, co-designed by Abhishek Lamba and Zain Memon, is a semi-cooperative political strategy board game where you are revolutionaries, trying to free your country from the grips of a tyrannical imperial power. If you succeed, only one of you will emerge as the leader of your new nation.
