GAME DAY!!!!!!!

The boys are back tonight to go to battle against Brick By Brick to try and get back in the winner’s column after last week’s draw.

They will have a big task at hand with leading scorer Michael Petratos on the injury list and confirmed to be out tonight after sustaining an ankle injury in the draw against the Lackers.

The Memes will look towards the duo of Phineasa and Reys who in the last game without Petratos, combined for 24pts in a big win over the Cairns Storm.

Tip-off at 7.30pm, come on down to Trinity Ford Stadium to cheer on the boys.

The box-score from last night’s 48-48 draw against the Lackers.

Giles and Blake once again combine for 20+ rebounds as Disney shoots a perfect 2/2 from Three.

A few concerning stats with the team shooting an abysmal 38.5% from the line, while also tallying their season high in turnovers with 27.

The win streak ends at 7 🥀

After a tough 40min, the game ends in a 48 apiece draw with nothing seperating the two teams.

Disney scored his season high of 12pts while hitting two big threes in a gruelling game where neither team could break ahead.

Another ankle injury for Petratos could see him sidelined for a couple weeks. He will be re-evaluated in a week’s time for an update after another setback.

The boys still stay undefeated this season, despite the slight asterisk on that statement. They will verse the 7th placed Brick by Brick next week.

The Meme's look to be going BIG in this one as Jason Black enters the starting lineup for the first time since Round 4, while Phineasa will start as a guard for the first time this season after a very productive break in the lab.

Tip-off is at 7.30pm on Court 4 so come down to see the return of the best show in town.

Anyone tryna ball?

With Cairns Basketball opening the courts this weekend for casual shooting, we are hosting an open-run on Sunday at 2pm for all who are interested!

With 3 players away, there will be 5 of the Meme Team boys rocking up so we are hoping to get at least another 5 players so we can run some competitive 5v5 scrimmages.

If you have any questions or would like some more info, shoot us a DM.

With the bye week having ended and the mid-season break underway due to school holidays, we have an opportunity to get to formally introduce the lads and get to know them a little bit.

The lads are off until the 12th of October where they will face the second placed Lackers. This will give the boys some time to rest but also get training and improve their individual skills ahead of a brutal second half of the season.

Stay tuned for more content including the remaining fixture, what the boys are up to during the break, and hopefully some little training clips.

BYE WEEK :(

On the back of a SEVEN game win streak to start the season, the boys will get a hard earned rest with a bye this week, followed by a couple weeks break.

Good opportunity for the fellas to get their bodies back to normal, especially Disney and Petratos who have sustained ankle injuries the past few weeks. Also and opprtunity for the boys to get onto the training court and get some shots up, work on their craft and get even better to help push towards finals and beyond.

Watch this space for more content over the next few weeks, and importantly, if you don't believe in the dream......BELIEVE IN THE MEME.

Sitting comfortably in first, the boys will get a hard earned rest next week, in preparation for a tough second half of the season with hopes of going undefeated.
