— To us, belt buckles are true pieces of jewelry — in a way, they are even the most widespread and most worn. It is with this in mind that we have always been drawn to solid silver buckles. A beautiful silver buckle, even when worn every day, can last a lifetime. Like fine leather, it will develop a graceful patina over time. It embodies, in our eyes, a certain idea of permanence. It is in this spirit that we imagined a collaboration with our friend Mateo Kitahara, the artisan and designer behind the jewelry brand @memowaparis , whose work has explored raw solid silver forms for many years. From this encounter were born two pieces: a slim belt in black double-tanned calfskin, paired with a solid silver buckle, and a double-wrap bracelet fastened with a more compact version of the same buckle. by @memowaparis
