Dreaming under the moonlight in Liguria, Italy 🇮🇹! For the very first time, me and my friends from @coexist_label had the chance to join an Italian festival and curate a stage @boemfestival ! Honestly, our experience has been a blast and we are still overwhelmed by everything! The beach of Bogliasco is amazing, the people are so open and friendly and the dancefloor energy is intimate and intense - we couldn’t ask for more! We are very happy that so many people liked the livesets of @kawarimusic @sarapatamusic and myself, aswell as the DJ-Sets by @darkstatesmusic @memum___ and @nsiries . Some of us didn’t know each other and the whole event turned out as a great team-building process in addition too!

Enjoying the final days in Italy here before going to the @benbohmermusic and @orbit concert tomorrow in Milano. Working on new music aswell. Thanks for your nice words about the just release Azur Deluxe Album and my Fusion Festival Set!!

We’re still touched and inspired by what went down last week in Cluj, Romania. ✨

A week ago today, we started getting ready for a spontaneous ambient live show we were set to perform the next day. After just three hours of sleep, we went straight from the studio to the airport. During a quick stopover in Munich, we wrapped up preparing our DJ set before flying to Cluj, where we were picked up and taken straight to the stage. After a quick soundcheck, we had an amazing experience, improvising alongside live illustrations.

Right after the show, we packed up and headed to our DJ set, which took place outdoors in a beautiful square in the heart of Cluj. A super fun, three-hour b2b club set followed. With barely any sleep, we were on an early morning flight back to Berlin.

It was a crazy 24 hours packed with memorable experiences - Huge thanks to everyone who made this special event possible!

Special thanks to @coacazenegre for the excellent organisation and the wholehearted care! 🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our very first @coexist_label event last Friday and created a space of resonance with us! 🎶✨ It was incredibly emotional for me to be on stage twice on my own event — solo and alongside my dear friend @niklaspaschburg. Truly a special night <3

Much love to my amazing colleagues from the Coexist team — @holo.phote @fejkaofficial @dejago.music @julianlindenmann and everyone else involved — for all the hard work behind the scenes, and to the wonderful artists @niklaspaschburg @kawarimusic @aveo.wav @__gaisma__ @henriqemr @stimming_official 🫶🏻

Next up:

🌌 August 5th – @planetariumstuttgart (sold out!)
🌆 October 24th - @fridaspier
We can’t wait. <3

Helloouu people!

Last-minute change of plans - I’m playing a solo show tonight at @olafurarnalds label event @opiacommunity at @kulturhausschwanen 🎶✨

My buddy @fejkaofficial sadly had to cancel our planned duo show due illness. 🤒😭 So I’m spontaneously playing a fresh solo set I am currently working on, instead. It’s gonna be exciting 🎹🌗

I‘m super happy to share the stage with @soundsofyana and @sofipaezmusic headlining the evening 🫶🏻 - Big thanks to @opiacommunity for the opportunity - it’s a real honor to play for you guys! ❣️

See you tonight @kulturhausschwanen 🤗 taken in Kulturhaus Schwanen by @memum___

Happy New Year, everyone! 🫶🏻✨ On February 1st, I’m grateful for the opportunity to perform on the Canary Islands 🏞️🎶 – Especially because the Canary Islands have been really important to me over the past few years and are one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. 🌅💛 I’m super excited to share this special experience with my friends @fejkaofficial and @dejago.music 🙌🏻🎵 A big thank you to @sonnestrandundmeermusic for inviting us! 💌 I’ll be kicking off the @coexist_label showcase with a calm ambient/electronica hybrid set ✨, featuring a wide selection of my own productions with some live twists to set the mood for the event. 🎶🌌 Find tickets 🎟️ in the bio.

10 years ago today, Memum’s debut album „Became a Leaf“ was released on the boutique label @unperceivedrecords

The album came together during a time when I was living in Berlin for the first time, surrounded by the buzz of city life. It became a way for me to slow down and reconnect with nature. Parts of it were also done in Finland during my first visit with @anna.linneus a memory that still feels special to me.

The first round of vinyl boxes sold out in a week, and we had to produce more right away. Thanks to early support from platforms like @ambientmusicalgenre_ and artists like @odesza, the album reached more people than I ever expected. The title track even made it onto a @cafedelmar compilation and is still my most-streamed song.

This year, @acloserlisten listed Became a Leaf among their favorite fall albums - a beautiful surprise 10 years later.

I’m grateful for everything this album has brought into my life and for everyone who played a part in its journey: @henrikjose @hior_chronik @noemibolojan for the remixes; @hanneskretzer @mayanadirmusic @fpeidner @anna.linneus @faira.music @foundlingsounds and everyone who supported or encouraged me along the way.

Here’s to Became a Leaf and the memories it holds!

1. Wooden boxes on a piano + “Became a Leaf” playing in the background
2. Me sitting by the piano of @hanneskretzer with the original painting of the artwork sitting on the piano + a live excerpt of “Under the Grove” playing in the background (recorded during my last tour in 2018)
3. A “Became a Leaf” sticker on my hat + a live excerpt of “Became a Leaf” playing in the background (recorded during my last tour in 2018)
4. The tape machine the record was mastered on
5. Some outboard gear the record was mastered with
6. A wooden box with a personal dedication on it
7. The great @odesza appreciating my music via @soundcloud
8. The piano where I initially started working on the chords for the song “Became a Leaf”
9. A pressed and dried leaf on a Norwegian landscape background vs. me hibernating in 2014
10. “Memum” written using metal wire taken in Berlin, Germany by @memum___

David Georgos - What are you listening to?

David Georgos is known for various names and genres. Appearing as Memum with his soft, calming ambient sounds doesn‘t mean he‘s not also up for trippy acid tracks released under the name of VtotheD, a project he does together with Benedikt Frey. He also plays keys and creates atmospheres in the dream pop band Foundling, a project led by Erin Lang. Responsible for the mastering of the latest releases on Constant Change it is interesting to have an insight into his listening habits as well. Sit back and dive into this meditative journey through organic sounds and deep spheres.
