🥺Have you been praying and petitioning about the same things for years now?

😢Honestly, this whole decade I have wondered why I had to suffer the way I have suffered. One day I’ll share my full testimony, but we all know that whether you are in Christ and not in Christ, that everybody will drink from the cup of suffering at one point in their life

🫠The thing is there comes a point where you’re doing everything that you’re supposed to do and finally getting out of being lukewarm yet nothing is changing

🔥You’re praying, fasting, repenting on behalf of yourself, your bloodline, and tearing down the altars yet you’re still drinking from the cup of suffering

🍀If you’re lucky, maybe it’s a couple months, but others it’s yours

🙇🏾‍♀️I got to the point where I’m asking ABBA, I’m praying without seizing and I keep praying for the same things. Yet I don’t see the fruit. I understand that sometimes the things I’m dealing with it’s still the consequences of past sin even the sins of my forefathers.

🤫During my time in my secret place, the Lord finally has given me the answer and you can find it in Acts 9:32-35

💛 “Why didn’t you save me” is a question many of us have probably asked God before

God, why didn’t you save me when I was getting evicted?

God, why didn’t you save me when you told me to quit my job and then I didn’t have the money to pay for my bills

God, why didn’t you save me when I was faithfully stewarding my money, talents, and paying my tithes and offering

These are some of the questions I have asked God myself, and you probably had many questions for God as well.

I just want you to know that it is OK to be vulnerable with God and question him. We see it in the Bible. Even Jesus questioned God when he was on the cross, even though he already knew what was going to happen and he knows the word.

This shows us that when we are down, it is OK as long as we do it respectfully

And I want to get rid of that whole narrative Church folk say, “ well it didn’t kill you” and “you didn’t die”, because yeah, it didn’t, but sometimes it literally feels like it or you want to

Whenever you’re going through something, try to find a story in the Bible that is similar to yours because every single person we hear about had a sob story before God gave them restoration and favor

Healing is a process and depending on God‘s will for you in this season, sometimes he will do things in an instant and other times he will allow you to go through a process.

Think of some of your favorite foods. Of course, the version that taste five minutes taste good but we all know the one that takes 30 minutes to an hour taste better and usually is better for you.

healing is the same. You might try to do your own quick fix and you’ll feel satisfied in the moment but you’ll be left needing more again.

Remember God’s promises for you and that he won’t forsake you

cause trust me I’m going through it right now too

It doesn’t have to be big for Jesus to mend your heart🧵 ❤️‍🩹🪡

Sometimes you can feel lonely, even though there are people around you.

Being portrayed can cause us to have mistress and unforgiveness in our heart .

And when it comes to grieving, it’s not just for people, but it can also be what has come to pass, such as graduating, entering parenthood, leaving a job, or even going to a different church

🧵 No matter what you’ve been through and how long it’s been, sure you still need some mending 🪡

We all do 💙

@jzs_us bible studies changed my life 🕊️

It exposed me to a deeper intimacy with God and topics most churches don’t talk about anymore. Speaking in tongues. True repentance. Deliverance. Biblical fasting. The spiritual realm. The effects of sin. Real things.

But the greatest thing I gained was true Christian community

There will come a point in your walk where you can only take certain matters to a brother or sister in Christ because it’s a spiritual matter
People who understand that not everything can be fixed by your own will, your own work. People who know that sometimes you’re in the valley because God put you there — just like Ezekiel. And that some things simply can’t be explained to someone who isn’t in the same thinking spiritually.

That’s why God put Mending Me on my heart

Not another Bible study

A space in the DFW where you can find brothers and sisters who are in the valley, getting out of the valley, or already out and through curated events and open discussion, build the kind of community that actually gets it.

Because healing doesn’t have to be lonely
And being a Christian doesn’t have to be boring🤍
