Mohanlal is an Indian actor, film producer, film distributor, and director who predominantly works in Malayalam film industry besides also having sporadically appeared in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada films.
Mohanlal has a prolific career spanning over four decades, during which he has acted in more than 400 films.
The Government of India honoured him with Padma Shri in 2001,and Padma Bhushan in 2019, India's fourth and third highest civilian honours,for his contributions to Indian cinema. In 2009, he became the first actor in India to be awarded the honorary rank of lieutenant colonel in the Territorial Army.
Mohanlal was named as one of "the men who changed the face of the Indian Cinema" by CNN.

Mohanlal made his acting debut at age 18 in the Malayalam film Thiranottam in 1978, but the film was delayed in its release for 25 years due to censorship issues. His screen debut was in the 1980 romance film Manjil Virinja Pookkal, in which he played the antagonist.
Mohanlal prefers to work in Malayalam films, but he has also appeared in some of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Some of his best known non-Malayalam films include the Tamil political drama Iruvar (1997), the Hindi crime drama Company (2002) and the Telugu film Janatha Garage (2016).

Mohanlal has won five National Film Awards—two Best Actor, a Special Jury Mention and a Special Jury Award for acting, and an award for Best Feature Film (as producer), also nine Kerala State Film Awards and Filmfare Awards South and numerous other accolades. He received honorary doctorates from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit in 2010 and the University of Calicut in 2018.

Aamir Khan is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and television personality who works in Hindi films. Through his career spanning over 30 years, Khan has established himself as one of the most notable actors of Indian cinema.

Aamir Khan first appeared on screen as a child actor in his uncle Nasir Hussain's film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973). As an adult, his first feature film role was in Holi (1984). He began a full-time acting career with a leading role in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). in the 1990s he appeared in a number of commercially successful films, including Dil (1990), Rangeela (1995), Raja Hindustani (1996), Sarfarosh (1999).

In 1999, he founded Aamir Khan Productions, whose first film, Lagaan (2001), His performance in Dil Chahta Hai (2001) also received appreciation. After a four-year hiatus, Khan returned to appear in leading roles, notably in Fanaa (2006) and Rang De Basanti (2006), Zameen Par (2007), Ghajini (2008), 3 Idiots (2009), Dhoom 3 (2013), PK (2014), and Dangal (2016), each having held the record for being the highest-grossing Indian film.
Khan won his third Best Actor award at Filmfare for Dangal.

Born on 15 October 1947, he originally worked as a vegetable vendor in Mumbai's Byculla market before stepping into mainstream politics.
