Haven’t posted much on here lately because we have just been so busy making pots that I haven’t had a chance.

We are cranking out new work for our coming Fall Open House. The studio is full! The kiln shed is full! The basement is filling up too!

Each mug has a unique botanical composition and the pots change with the seasons. Our sage and thyme are still going strong but these mugs have some of our last lavender of the summer.

I love the earthy tones of the iron washed plant impressions on the raw clay set off by the glazed top and interior.

These mugs and others will be available on our website this Saturday (9/5). Shop update goes live at 9am est.

These wood fired cups are a joy to use! There is no end of interest for both the hand and eye as you enjoy the rich colors and textures that are the result of the wood ash, flame and soda from the firing. And as a bonus, they are great for holding your favorite beverage too!

We will be including a few of our old school glazed mugs in our online shop update this Saturday. While these sometimes feel a little simple next to our botanical pots, I love these wonderfully utilitarian, comfortable and beautiful little mugs.

Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our booth at Mount Gretna this weekend! We were encouraged and refreshed by so many great conversations with new and returning customers. It was a pleasure to share our work with you and now we are excited to get back to making more pots! by @menkis_works_pottery

We love the warm oranges, yellows and browns that balance the glassy grays and greens of the pots fired in our wood/soda kiln.
