One quote that really sticks with me Is “ Live a life true to who you are”. I owe an apology to the people I’ve lost and the good ones I’ve neglected.

Sometime around age 28-30, many people start to ask, “Is this really who I am?”. It’s a period where you reassess your life, career, and relationships to see if they align with your core values, rather than the goals you “inherited” from others. The “societal timeline” is often an illusion. Many people find that 30 is the beginning of a more stable and authentic phase of life. “To my younger self: I apologize for the silent departures from the path we planned. There are promises I made that time simply wouldn’t let me keep, and for the goals left untouched, I am sorry I’ll do better now.”

In friendship and relationships in general, you have to be humble enough knowing that you can be replaced but also wise enough to know that there is literally no one like you. What I love about the people in my life is that we don’t spread negativity we always support and uplift each other, but we will call each other out. Be proud of who you are and not ashamed of how someone else sees you. We feel stressed when we feel that we are unable to change our circumstances. However, this is being short-sighted. Life's greatest gifts often come from such situations. We just need to be open to receive it.
