We are happy to announce the launch of the Open Call for art residencies at Utpiaggia. We are located in the Umbrian hills, the green heart of Italy, near Perugia.

Rooted in ecology, art, self-development, and community, the call invites artists, researchers, and creative practitioners from across all disciplines to explore projects that nurture connection, reflection, and transformation.

We value the creative process as much as the outcome—creating space to pause, breathe, listen, and develop ideas in meaningful dialogue with people, place, nature, and each other.

"MEIN KÖRPER IST EIN HAUS AUS KOMPOST"
Es war eine ganz wundervolle Zeit in @utopiaggia VIELEN DANK hierfür! 🙏✨
Ein Werk von MARIUS MENKEL aka @menrel44 .

Wir hatten die Ehre, die Künstler Marius Menrel und Kathrin Knöpfle in einer Kunstresidenz in Utopiagga begrüßen zu dürfen.
Menrel hat an der Monaco Academy of Art studiert. Er ist Konzeptkünstler und arbeitet mit Zeichnungen, Mustern, Gerüchen, Licht und Pflanzen. Die Ausstellung ist das Ergebnis einer kurzen Recherche zum Ort. Eine Suche nach Materie und Thema. Kommen Sie und beleuchten Sie das Zusammenspiel von Landwirtschaft, Küche und historischem Kontext. Das Schlüsselwort lautet: Zyklen.

"MEIN KÖRPER IST EIN HAUS AUS KOMPOST" Von Marius Menkel. Woraus besteht deine Welt? Und welches Material hat die größte Brillanz? In dieser Ausstellung sind Modelle, die ihren ursprünglichen Maßen treu sind, aus Dünger und Holz gefertigt, in der Mitte einer verlassenen Kirche der alten Kreise eingeschlossen. Durch eine siebenmeterlange Zeichnung bekommen wir eine Vorstellung davon, was gerade dort ist, was daraus wird und auch davon, was vorbeigeht. Eine köstliche Vernissage zum Gedenken an all jene, die etwas Unbezahlbares geschaffen haben, das auch anderen Menschen in Zukunft dienen wird.

Un lavoro di MARIUS MENKEL anche chiamato MENREL.

Abbiamo avuto l'onore di accogliere i artisti Marius Menrel e Kathrin Knöpfle in residenza artistica a Utopiagga.
Menrel ha studiato all' accademia dell' arte di Monaco. Lui e un artista concettuale e lavora con disegni, modelli, odori, luce e piante. La mostra è il risultato di una ricerca breve sul luogo. Una ricerca di materia e tema. Vieni messa in luce l' interazione tra agricoltura, cucina e contesto storico. La parola chiave è: cicli.
