Legacy 🥲
.
“The Krown’ll tilt but don’t let it fall, King!” Was super inspired after attending last year’s @culturecon and thus King’s Krowns was born! It was an honor hosting an event where black men could be honest, real, and vulnerable about the stigmas and stereotypes associated with mental health. @kai_jullian , mannnnn! Thanks for capturing these special moments of everyone throughout the event and bringing the vision to lens! Huge shoutout to our attendees and phenomenal panelists, I appreciate you gentlemen for getting out of your comfort zones and sharing your testimonies!! @verontelee @jabari2.0 @loso2.0_ Cheers to many more events under the King’s Tales collective to come! - Rex 👑

Stuck in - Unforgiveness. Shame. Addiction.
Transformed through - Healing. Grace. Purpose. From Trauma to Triumph 🫶🏽
.
Vulnerability hasn’t always been my strong suit, but helping others has. In June of 2020, I took a leap of faith and started something that I thought wasn’t going to lead to much. Five years and many lives impacted later, here we are. Healed, affirmed, and recentered on God-driven purpose. We can get stuck along our journeys, but it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road. Sometimes, pitfalls are really pitstops to recharge, release, and refocus on our purpose. Welcome to Mentour’d, where helping men of color progress out of pitfalls towards pitstops to progressive purpose is our mission! Full video in #linkinbio

To everyone who has invested, been interviewed, or shared a listening ear to my yap sessions, thank you! None of this would have been possible without you. Cheers to 5 more years of positive, impactful, soul-healing change! 🥂 - Rex Chege

“Who have I been labeled to be?” As the eldest son of immigrant parents, I often asked myself this question a lot. It wasn’t until I started fostering a relationship with God that I realized the labels man places on us are not who He calls us to be. Labels contradict, cause confusion, and create complacency in places where God needs us to act on faith and trust in Him to get a name change (like Jacob in Genesis 32:22-32) Do you want to remove those labels & get a name change? by @mentourd

Taking the Mask Off 🎭
.
The month of January was rough. Had two very unexpected deaths in the family and your boy was downnnn. Very irritable. Unmotivated. Super sad. Almost gave up on the event fr fr. Butttt, I learned that instead of trying to act like everything was ok or that I was fine or DO EVERYTHING MYSELF (Pride), I took the mask off. I cried. I voiced my confusion and anger with my support system. I leaned on God like never before. Quite literally quoted Psalms 34:18 every day in January. So for anyone that feels like you have to go at it alone - Romas 12:15 tells us otherwise!
