Existence is suffering…
The world is in pain, we are in pain. We get moments of joy, ease and peace but they’re fleeting, joy lives hand in hand with sadness after all, ease lives hand in hand with stress. I live in pain every day of my life, just like you, I suffer, WE SUFFER. It has been hard to post lately, my brain, my heart and my body have felt disconnected, my spirit diminished and tired. It has been a year of learning and hurt but I’ve had to remind myself that with learning comes growth, with hurt comes scars that are beautiful and that hold knowledge and wisdom. I wholeheartedly agree with the concept that existing is to suffer, all beauty ages and dies all joy diminishes over time. But what a blessing it is to feel that beauty and joy? To experience and see the tops of trees in the Mexican jungle, to swim in a natural underground pool that glows as the sun hits its waters through a small cavity at the top, to see the roots of trees suspended above you as you swim in the water below. To hold hands with the ones you love, as you walk across warm sand and to say goodbye as you jump off a cliff so that you can be reunited in the water below. To kayak in underground rivers and turn around and be greeted with smiles. To find peace in bringing the ashes of someone you love to their first home and watching them be carried away by the waves of the ocean and lighting a candle for them in a tomb of thousands. Existence is pain but it’s also love, acceptance, beauty, peace, joy, happiness, the list is endless…So I’m going to enjoy all of the moments in between so much that I can greet that inevitable return of pain and suffering with gratitude , so it’s worth it. Existence is to live and I plan to experience all of what this life has to offer in living. -Una Llorona by @meow_nix

To the man who taught me about unconditional love. Who believes a good chuckle is typically the cure to most, who taught me that confidence and strength don’t always mean putting up a fight, who taught me about forgiveness. To the man who will always have my back; once a Greaser, always a Greaser.
