Globosphere “ACTOR AU”??? 🎬🎭

I had an absolute BLAST working on this lil’ piece!! Was fun to give Janey, Niko and Nettle cool outfits, as well as converting Chestikov into a puppet.

Who knows, maybe cartoon characters are actors too? Maybe the personalities they have in the Globosphere are different than the ones they have outside it? Much to think about… ;)

I felt compelled to doodle Niko, Janey, Nettle and Chestikov as characters they’ve been compared to hehe. I know nothing about Don’t Starve though, so sorry if I messed up the Chestikov x Chester combo 😅

Annie’s Antiques is a cluttered antique shop run by a batty old lady, presumably named Annie. You can find almost anything you don’t want in here! Nothing useful! The odd thing about this shop though is that nothing seems to be for sale. If Annie likes you though, she might just be willing to gift you an item of her choice…

Niko found himself stumbling into Annie’s Antiques as a means to get out of the rain. At first, he was profoundly disinterested in the dusty, claustrophobic mess, until a gentle red glow tucked away on a top shelf caught his eye. Using his height to his advantage, he retrieves a snow globe: Its contents is obscured by milky liquid but a soft red light pierces through. Curious, Niko gives it a shake. What could possibly go wrong?

“I’m Still Me” 🧩 (scrub the dots!!)

This is a little experiment that I’d eventually like to translate into traditional media someday. This piece explores deconstructing and reconstituting an image into smaller versions of itself: Are these new forms still recognizable? Did we lose something? How much can something be broken down before it is no longer itself?

I created this image of my character Charlie by dividing them into a bunch of squares, then rearranging every other square into 16 new, miniature portraits. I’ll probably share a timelapse but it’s pretty hard to comprehend what’s happening in it lol.
