World Mental Health Day highlights the importance of mental health awareness and access to support, reminding us that emotional well-being deserves the same attention and care as physical health.

🌿 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚
We are happy to share that Vidyadhara successfully completed the 10-day Training of Trainers (ToT) Program at the 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞 & 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚, with 30 trainers from diverse sectors such as beekeeping, carpentry and tailoring to footwear and several other trades, jointly with 𝐃𝐂𝐈 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐭. 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚, 𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐏 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐄𝐏𝐒𝐂.
What made the program especially enriching was the diversity of the group, with trainers joining us from different parts of Meghalaya, including the Khasi Hills, Garo Hills and Jaintia Hills, each bringing their own experiences, perspectives and understanding of their learners.
The program brought together two important dimensions of trainer development: platform skills for effective competency-based skill training and essential soft skills for becoming a more engaging and impactful trainer.
Over the ten days, we explored self-awareness, growth mindset, communication, emotional intelligence, presentation skills and public speaking, along with practical approaches to planning, facilitating and assessing competency-based training.
Grateful to all the trainers for their enthusiastic participation, openness to learning and the energy they brought to these ten days. It has been a truly wonderful experience! ✨

On 28th and 29th September 2026, the MEPSC team participated in a creative team activity, “Kabad se Jugaad,” as part of the Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 campaign. The activity encouraged team members to give a new purpose to old and unused materials by transforming them into useful and creative items. Through teamwork, imagination, and a little jugaad, the team turned waste into something meaningful while promoting the importance of reuse, resourcefulness, and responsible consumption. The initiative was a fun reminder that with creativity and collective effort, even discarded materials can be given a new life.
