After a very long time,I picked up my cords again and started weaving a dreamcatcher. It felt like coming home to a part of myself I’d forgotten; calm washing over the chaos inside.✨ taken in Blanchardstown by @meraki_1502

One year ago, I put my whole self behind the passion of my heart and hand – Meraki was born! It has been a journey both challenging and rewarding. Into every new piece, I was blessed to create, a chance to release bits of my soul and self to share. This time last year I was so lost, so broken and too weak to look to people for strength. It had been almost a year since my rock, my confidante – my father, passed away to a terminal illness. Those of you who have experienced the loss of those you hold closest will understand the depths of darkness and grief.  Loneliness had enveloped me for too long by then, something had to change.  Sometimes whilst working I can still sense my father's presence, he spent countless hours watching me practise my skills, building and ripping up, then building again. He always gave me the best critiques! With great effort almost a year after his passing, I pushed myself to pick my hobby back up, dust it off and turn it into this beautiful outlet of positivity that MERAKI is today. When this started out I could not have imagined what it has come to mean to me. I now look over the last year with pride and joy and a sense of accomplishment. True to the essence of any dreamcatcher, there is a constant reminder that (the circle of) Life is Everlasting. Thank you for taking the time to ‘read’ me pour my heart out. Thank you for your love, for your support. Without you, Meraki would not be. God bless you all. Seven Decembers, seven different versions of pain. And this year... this year tested me in a way I’ll never forget. This December peeled back every layer I tried so hard to protect.Seven years of difficult endings, and the fear I prayed would stay a nightmare finally became reality. by @meraki_1502
