A regional train, a cogwheel train, and a cable car ride to take us to the top of the Germany’s highest mountain peak, Zugspitze. Passing through idyllic villages on a gorgeous day, experiencing the breathtaking views of the Bavarian Alps, and even getting to see a glacier, reaffirms that it is indeed a wonderful world!

30 years! Many highs & some lows, a lot of laughter & some tears, exciting adventures & quiet cozy times, having the same values on things that matter the most, and the best daughter anyone can hope for have made the past 30 years exactly what I would have wanted it to be. A wonderful Faraal and Diwali party with dear friends was the perfect celebration to cap off a quiet weekend. Wore a light and airy Chanderi silk saree that was easy to manage. A Benarasi silk blouse and some favorite silver jewelry were the accessories of choice.

A lovely evening spent in the company of good friends. Laughter, conversations, and the most delicious dinner of dal, baati, baingan bharta, many more fixings, and lots of ghee! I ate until I was stuffed. And then I had a full serving of dessert because there’s a separate compartment for that! 😄 A wonderful start to pre Diwali celebrations. We NRIs have to use weekends for our festivities and there are only so many weekends between Navratri and Diwali 😄
