Happy Fourth of July Holiday Week! We hope everyone has had a wonderful week, and that you were able to join in the fun we had at the #american4miler. It was amazing!

If not, or even if so, please make sure to register to race or volunteer for our next’s epic race, the @aroundthecrown10k, which takes place on September 3rd. We will need 40 volunteers that day, and we are so appreciative to our #rwteam volunteers and racers who so diligently provide support each and every time.

Here’s to the weekend! Thank you, @runcharlotte_ for your continued love and support of #runningworks, and for producing such a seamlessly well run race.

Always an amazing time speaking to the @letmerun_boys Summer Camp, this time @crcriverwalk in Rock Hill with special guest intern @harpershaw1 who runs @greenwavexctf.

Having done this for 10 years with these special groups, this was the most engaged bunch of boys we have ever had❣️💯 (scroll for video clips)

Our founder @merdolhareelliott spoke to the boys about the importance of values + giving back, the impact of our personal stories plus the all-important difference between empathy and sympathy while challenging the stigmas associated with homelessness and poverty.

QOTD from one boy as feedback: “So, do you mean kind of like the Einstein quote, ‘It is not because I’m smarter than you it is because I spend more time on the problem’?” 🎤 drop…

Happy Friday! We’re still “reeling” from an amazing anniversary week that is far from over! Stay tuned for a highlight reel from special guest Duke and NBA star turned serial entrepreneur and motivator Gerald Henderson, Junior, who gave a rousing interview on Tuesday at the RunningWorks HQ.

Read: He survived being peppered by our founder Meredith’s 100 questions as well as some very insightful ones from the #rwteam, plus left all of us with much to think about.

Today, we have packet pickup all day in preparation for one of our biggest races of the year, the sold out @junction311 @charlotteracefest half marathon / 10k in South Park tomorrow morning! If you are one of the more than 60 RW volunteers or 1800+ racers, thank you! We look forward to seeing you there.

Have a great weekend, #runningworks! #rwteam #healthcommunityopportunity #valuesled #mentorshipdriven #bridgethegap #noexcuses #socialentrepreneurship #junction311 #runcltrun

💥Thank you, superstar board member @sbmstoryteller for this awesome reel, and for her incredible support ALWAYS. 💙 taken in Valerie Woodard Center by @merdolhare
