This soup really was wild, with such intensely chaotic results! I shot and souped a roll of LomoChrome Turquoise together with it so that I could compare the effects and it’s amazing how different they are. The contrast on this roll of Switch Azure is so high with a lot of shadows whereas Turquoise turned out dominated by highlights.

This is the first roll of Azure I’ve souped and I really can’t wait to soup some more - I’l definitely be packing a few rolls with me on my next trip up to Scotland! I feel some of these have almost a painterly quality to them, which work wonders in the Highlands.

Yesterday I said that I got a lot of chaos when I souped Harman Azure. Today you can see the full extent of that chaos! I like these though, I like to think each shot has captured lots of little fairies dancing around the French countryside! ✨

I’ve shot one roll of Azure unsouped, and had been itching to soup one - particularly after seeing the results other people have achieved. The results I got are not at all what I expected!

Looking at other people’s soups I was expecting something much more subtle, and faded. Mine came out a bit wild, but I like them - I think! But I also want to try souping a roll in something less destructive to get some more mild effects.

Another where I couldn’t choose between image 1 or image 2! Which is your favourite, did I make the right choice?! 😩

This was such a fun soup to get the scans back from, I really enjoy all the unexpected colours - I don’t get that shade of yellow-green in my soups much at all!!

Scratches galore here, and I love them! Again, all my fault not the lab’s. I’ve been messing around with rolls in a changing bag between souping and developing. I really love these “flaws”; like souping itself I feel the deviation from a “proper” photo really adds atmosphere and interest.

Back in Scotland again! The day these were taken was so sunny, and it seemed so warm, we decided to take our cameras and books down to The Secret Beach and have a long lazy afternoon picnic.

Never trust Scottish weather!! We ended up SO cold that we were huddled curled up underneath the picnic blanket trying to read before we decided to head home for a fire and some hot chocolate. So not the afternoon which we had planned, but that’s what made it memorable.

Fingerprints on these images are mine, I was messing about and experimenting with the undeveloped roll unrolled inside a changing back. I probably should have been more careful, but I kind of like the idea there’s a part of me imparted onto them.

I shot a few other rolls of LomoChrome Turquoise, and one LomoChrome Purple, on this walk. The scans for those aren’t back yet, but if they’re anything like this roll then I can’t wait!

Le Rocher des Deux Trous (the rock with two holes) is a nice easy walk with a bit of a scramble at the end, and great views…. Unless you’re doing it in direct sunlight in 40+ degrees. In which case it’s a hellish nightmare that you make it through by thinking of the awesome LomoChrome Turquoise shots you’ll have to soup afterwards. I think it was worth it though, looking at these results.

The scans from this roll have been a challenge - it’s the first time I’ve ever had zero rejects from a roll! Selecting which I wanted to share first took so much time, and the full 36 will definitely end up on my grid at some point.
I seriously cannot get enough of LomoChrome Turquoise, it creates the most incredible magic when souped.

This soup might not have the wildest results, but I really love the textures and understated colours of it - even though I think I’ll always prefer a blue based palette. When I used to shoot digitally I was forever using an unnecessary high ISO to punch up the noise, and I love how souping can echo that but with a much more satisfying result.

From tomorrow onwards we’re going back to chaos; I just got four souped rolls of Lomo T back and I cannot wait to share the scans of them!

Friday! Finally! How’s everyone’s week been going?

Today’s photos are more from Scotland, where I am in spirit even if my body is stuck in London right now. An overcast and windy day with lots of fast moving cloud, souped to make the landscape even more wild.

I got the bad news I was expecting yesterday. Sucks, but the world keeps turning! In happier news, I got scans for four rolls of film back yesterday which was enough to cheer me up.

A lot of today’s photos were taken from the very bumpy Cape Wrath bus, I’m amazed I managed to get any unblurred ones between the bumps and the muddy windows! And some light leaks as a special treat for us! I think next time I get bored I’m going to experiment with some purposeful leaks, they’re just so pretty.
