A new chapter for the Mount!

When the hospital’s future was uncertain, our Government stepped in to keep its doors open, protect jobs and provide certainty for patients.

Last week, Bethesda officially took over operations of the 170-bed hospital, with existing staff offered employment and important specialist services continuing.

Helping generations of WA kids smile since 1975.

From first check-ups to preventative care, our School Dental Service has provided free dental care to more than one million children over the past 50 years.

It was great to visit Roseworth Primary School last week, to thank the wonderful team delivering this important service, including Maria, who has dedicated an incredible five decades to caring for WA kids.

It was great to meet ten Student Councillors at Rawlinson Primary School who are working on ideas to make their school and community more inclusive.

They had plenty of questions about my role, representing our local community and what leadership looks like day to day.

Women deserve to feel heard, supported and taken seriously when it comes to their health.

I was delighted to officially open Elara Menopause and Women’s Health Clinic in Joondalup, bringing together specialised care for women across different stages of their lives.

When every minute counts, RAC Rescue is there.

These helicopters operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, bringing search, rescue and critical care to Western Australians when they need it most.

And we’re strengthening the service even further.

For the first time in WA, critical care doctors are now taking to the skies alongside critical care paramedics, bringing even more lifesaving care directly to patients. by @meredithhammat

Over the weekend, Westnam United FC brought together football, culture and community at its junior wind-up and Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.

There were mooncakes, tea, colourful lanterns and plenty of fun for the kids as families came together to mark the end of the junior season and celebrate an important tradition.

Thank you to Ted Nguyen, President of Westnam United FC, and to Apollo Care and Bridging Solutions for supporting the activities and helping make the celebration such a special one for local families.
