This kind of took forever, but it has helped me relax a little after this exhausting week.

My latest contribution for #mcrinktober2026 hosted by the lovely @rosariesandruins

Today’s prompt is Razor-Sharp White Teeth.
I love vampires and I love the song Vampires Will Never Hurt You (was overjoyed to hear it at Wembley 3), so I had to go for this prompt.

You can see the quick sketch I did before the real artwork on the last slide.

Went with the obvious route and chose a photo of Gerard covered in fake blood as my reference.
I really struggle to draw open mouths/ teeth, so that was a good challenge.
Also why is painting jet-black hair so difficult (or at least to me)?

I will probably be back for day 16. I wanted to do 15 as well, but my schedule is super busy this week.
I am rambling, but I am also super tired.

I finally managed to finish another contribution for #mcrinktober2026 - prompt no. 10: She Sees Everything.

Of course I couldn‘t pass up the opportunity to draw Marianne (or is it Mary Ann?). Probably a very obvious choice, but I had fun.

I wish I could participate on more days but I just can‘t keep this up every day of the working week, so I‘ll be picking out some of the prompts.

Love seeing everyone‘s interpretations and Inktober art though.

Here‘s my contribution for day 5 of #mcrinktober2026 hosted by @rosariesandruins !
Today‘s prompt is: Best Damn Dress

I chose one of my favourite Swarm tour outfits - Cheerard!
Instagram cut the picture off in a strange way, but you can see the full postcard + my progress in the following slides.

I‘m having so much fun with these even though I wish my mind was a bit more creative with the prompts.
I hope I can manage the one for tomorrow because the working week unfortunately has me back and rn I am only running on lots of caffeine.

I know I have already posted something today, but I have been debating whether to upload this one or not for a while.
It‘s my first try at oil painting (minus an ugly still life I did at a crash course my mum signed me up for when I was 16).
I know that I didn‘t quite catch the likeness - his nose is too long and there are other mistakes, but I am still proud of myself and it was a lot of fun to try a new medium. I have already started a new painting and ordered more canvases. I definitely want to get more into oil painting!

The sheen is still very uneven, but I think it still hasn‘t finished drying completely and I hope at one point I can fix it with varnish.

Here‘s my contribution for day 4 of #mcrinktober2026 hosted by @rosariesandruins ! The prompt was Route Guano. I debated drawing the sign in the background as well but decided against it. Wanted to keep it simple.

I actually started this yesterday night after completing the last one, which is why I was able to finish it quickly this morning. Spent most of the weekend drawing but Friday drained by social battery so much that it was great to recharge that way.

My reference was a screenshot from the NaNaNa music video, but I altered the background a little.

I‘ll be honest: I am kind of disappointed by the way this turned out, especially his face pisses me off. But I really liked my initial idea and the prompt was one of my favourites, so I wanted to do something special. I spent way too much time on this, but here we go:

Leaving my second contribution to #mcrinktober2026 here before I have to get ready and leave for work.

This is for the prompt „Fetch Me a Dagger“.
The beautiful reference photo is by Vangephoto.

I have some work event going on today and most of the evening, so I will be home late but I cannot wait to see everyone else‘s art for today. I have nothing lined up yet for tomorrow/ day 3 but I‘ll try to create something, because honestly I am so hyped.

Here‘s my kind of lazy / uncreative attempt to take part in #mcrtober for the first prompt „Honey, this mirror“.

Work has barely begun again, yet here I am struggling to keep up my drawing habits.

I‘ll try to take part at least a little in MCRtober, but we‘ll see how much I can manage.

I am using these watercolour postcards I picked up at the National Portrait Gallery in London this July when I visited for the MCR concert. I do have another stack of empty watercolour postcards in case I‘ll manage more than 12 prompts, but I am not very optimistical about it lol.

Something kind of different / not my usual style.
I have been listening to Demo Lovers a lot these days.

Had some difficulties with his head. I think you can tell I never draw short hairstyles.

Slide 3 are some quick studies of photos I took in 2022 that the desert theme reminded me of.
Slide 4 some mixed MCR sketches.
