Today I’m presenting two Spitfires: a PR Type A in 1/72 scale and a Spitfire Mk. Vb in 1/48 scale. The first of these will join my Spitfire collection, which now numbers 26 models. It is the first of the successful reconnaissance aircraft. This particular model depicts the aircraft that carried out a reconnaissance mission over Belgium and Germany in November 1939. The second Spitfire is the aircraft of one of the most famous Polish pilots, Jan Zumbach, commander of the 303rd Fighter Squadron in 1942 by @merlinmodelarz

White-painted Gloster Meteor F Mark III, EE239 'YQ-Q', of No. 616 Squadron RAF Detachment was pushed to its dispersal point at B58/Melsbroek, Belgium. A flight of Meteors was detached from 616 Squadron to 2nd TAF to provide air defence against the Messerschmitt Me 262, being joined by the whole Squadron in March 1945. Supermarine Spitfire Mk XII first Griffon powered Spitfire. Flew operationally as a low altitude fighter. Were manufactured from MkVc (fixed tail wheel) and MkVIII (retractable). Only about 100 were done. by @merlinmodelarz
