This past weekend was truly magical! ✨This is only a little glimpse of it.

We had 100 students, 4 special guest artist, 8 schools, and over 400 tickets sold 🤩✨

I want to congratulate all of our amazing students for their hard work! They were inspired and danced their little hearts out! 🥹

None of this would have been possible without God and the dedication and support of our dance parents, teachers, partners, volunteers, guest artist and family. ❤️

We’re excited to continue creating more opportunities for our recreational dancers to shine on stage, connect with one another, and celebrate the vibrant cultures that inspire our art.

Our fall 2024 semester comes to an end! Thank you to our school partnerships @legacytraditionalschools @basischprimarysc for giving us the opportunity to teach dance at your schools, to our amazing Mersy G. Dance Team for pouring your love and passion into each and everyone of our students, and to our community of parents that support us and see the value in what we do. ❤️🩰💃🏻 #danceinschools by @mersygdanceco

“Dance is arguably the most widely practiced art form. Americans today are much more likely to dance than to paint or play a musical instrument. And yet, most Americans receive no formal introduction to dance at all. For all the much deserved complaints about the decline of K-12 education in painting or music instruction, few speak up about the utter absence of exposure to dance in our schools. Dance needs to be reclaimed as a core art form and one of the pillars of cultural expression”. #danceinschools #movement #danceisart #danceafterschool #kidsdanceclass #oneschoolatatime by @mersygdanceco
