I'm coming for you, @marthastewart...

I was so thrilled to work with @wdavisphoto a few weeks ago to shoot some new photography for the M&D website. Not only did she make me feel like I was on a magazine shoot, but she incorporated so many personal details and family heirlooms — from my grandpa's clock and pocket knife to antiques that @mlonion has collected for me over the years.

I can't wait to share more! In the meantime, check out a few other photos from our shoot on mertleanddot.com. 👀

We're all tired of seeing those posts that start with "There are a lot of new people around here, so I figured I should reintroduce myself!"

But...there *are* a lot of new people around here, so I hope @lisabevolving doesn't mind that I invited Corporate Erin to step in for this one. Here's what she had to say:

"Thanks for hopping on a call so that I can introduce you to my boss, Alex Onion. I know we still have a few people trickling in, but I really just wanted to kick things off by telling you more about Alex quickly so that we can all end before our hard stop at 2PM.

First off, I just want to say that Alex is a great boss. She pretty much never stops thinking about her business and she makes us work long hours, but she buys us @crumblcookies like once a week to make up for it. She also lets us listen to @beyonce and @maggierogers during the workday, which really helps with office morale.

I also have the bandwidth to manage her personal schedule, so I'm always kind of making sure her agenda is jam packed with @windycityperformingarts rehearsals, concerts around Chicago, craft classes and dinner parties with friends.

Her car is really not up to my personal standards, but we're going to address how to keep things cleaner during our Q2 performance review. I also personally think she spends too much money on redecorating her house instead of buying a new car, but that's none of my business.

Thank you so much for giving me the time and space to share this important information with you, and please send me a direct message if you have any follow-ups after the call. Happy Friday Jr, everyone!"

Madison and Zach got married surrounded by family in just about every way imaginable.

Their ceremony was officiated by a family member, their venue is owned by their cousins, 130 of their closest people filled the room (I swear, no one felt like they were strangers), their nieces and nephews were hanging off their legs all night, and of course their handsome boy, Bosa, was there for it all too.

I forgot for a second that I was the wedding planner because somehow, by the end of the night, I felt like I had become part of the family myself?? Which honestly feels like the best way to explain this entire day !! I love the Slatens 💛

The bride wore black, the groom wore burgundy...and we couldn't be more obsessed.

Lindsay & Jon's rock n' roll wedding was far from your average nuptials—featuring some of our favorite dark, moody blooms, wearable florals for the wedding party, and a live band performance by the couple themselves. Oh, and did we mention karaoke throughout the night? 🤘

Mario & Abbey's wedding day featured everything you'd want from a mid-spring wedding: a beautiful, sunny day, plenty of natural light, and fresh, airy florals in cream & chartreuse.

With incredibly sweet personal vows, M&A tied the knot in front of their lovely family and friends at Morgan's on Fulton. The rooftop was a perfect backdrop for their reception, with a family-style meal that highlighted how intentional they were about sharing their big day with their nearest and dearest.

Their day was made even more personal with snapdragons that reminded Abbey of her grandfather, and funky printed materials that Mario & Abbey created themselves.
