Particle count was nearly 50 million, 2-3 hour simulation time per shot.

Summer is here🍦
Full CG project I had fun to work on. Once in a while I feel like creating something in this color and mood.

Beginning of the year I did a similar shot for a client, wanted to utilise the techniques I used there in this project, particularly the metal bending combined with RBD, well you will hear soon about it on Patreon.

Used Houdini, RBD and MPM for this, rendered with Karma.

First RnD with Houdini 21 Flow Solver 🌌
I used an image inside COPs to extract velocity and temperature fields, which turned out perfect for creating a flowing, gas-like simulation — Jupiter
