Coco the Cockatiel has the toughest job: jewelry critic 🐦✨. He nibbles, pecks, and inspects every silver piece I make—maybe it’s the sparkle, or maybe he thinks the stones are fancy seeds. Either way, he’s the ultimate expert, and if Coco approves, you know it’s a quality piece of art!

This is a heavy set handmade sterling silver hammered pendant. I only have a small crucible and melting almost 2oz of silver took forever in order to hammer it into shape. The customer was really happy with the results.

This was a nice find. A sterling silver and amber vintage lady bug broach. It is 1 inch in size and has inclusions and sun spangle within the amber cabochon.

This is a handmade modernist sterling silver teardrop pendant I made for a friend. I melted, hammered, carved and hand polished it from start to finish. Coco the Cockatiel inspected the work and approved it.

A silver and chrysoprase pendant I have been working on. A few years ago I started learning how to make silver jewelry and last year I started learning how to cut stones. Just one more stone to go, then polish to finish. The little rescue cardinal likes to inspect my work.

I am starting a daily dog drawing for the next 30 days. I want to challenge myself to be consistent with sketching every day. Here is the first drawing: A Chihuahua giving everyone the side eye.
