What does "Love your neighbor..." really mean? Why do we place more emphasis on our neighbor than on ourselves? Is that what the scripture really means?

On January 16, 2023, my world changed. I stood in the shower, holding the remains of a dream, a life that never had the chance to unfold. I share my journey after my miscarriage, not to dwell on pain, but to reveal a surprising discovery – a path to healing and closeness with God.

In my journey, I expected self-blame and anger at God, yet none of that happened. Instead, I found solace in Matthew 5:4 – "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." This verse, when explored deeply, offers profound lessons.

This blog post is for those on their mourning journey. I hope you will read or hear something that will help you find strength, comfort, and a path to becoming more than you ever imagined. 🌈 #EmbraceHisCalltoHisSide #GriefJourney #FaithInLoss #MentalHealthHealing

This morning, I was led to pray using scripture. I typically study in the New Living Translation, so I began to read the scripture in that version, but because I already had it mostly memorized in the KJV, I felt it was better to switch versions. I know that God hears my heart's prayers regardless of my word usage, but I just did what felt right in the moment. I am curious who feels like there are certain verses that just sound better when recited in the King James Version? What verse(s) is that for you? I'll share one in the comments. #thebible #kingjamesversion #nkjv #kjv #prayingscripture by @meshwithilly
