Today we held a Queer Allyship Workshop through @resurrectionumc. My portion of the presentation covers language and terminology, along with my own personal experiences. I offer nearly a decade of volunteer leadership, research, and testimonies to cultivate conversations and provide resources to those who are actively seeking to broaden their understanding. My favorite tool as a queer researcher is the Genderbread Person. It goes into detail where often society does not.

I’m so appreciative of my counterparts who presented with passion and knowledge. I’m proud to be part of a community and church where we prioritize conversations and critical thinking, where we grow and serve altruistically.

Second in the series of artistic expressions, where I capture a moment in time that made me stop and savor. Artist photo included.
