What is Messages To Myself?

Messages To Myself developed over years but truly came into action when I pinned on as a 1st Lt in the Air Force.

I loved God but I did not always know how to express it wholeheartedly as a service member. For a long time I wondered if I should stay quiet about faith on the internet in order to appear professional.

But faith is not separate from who I am. It is the core of me. God showed me that walking in faith is not unprofessional. It is authentic.

Messages To Myself is where I share encouragement I first apply to my own life and then extend to others 🫶🏽

No need to rush. Trust that everything God is preparing before you is considering the now, the tomorrow, and the all days to come.
Jesus doesn’t treat your purpose like a microwaveable ramen. He slows cooks certain parts of our lives preparing for plans we can only imagine.

Ingredients:
-Extra Virgin Olive oil
-1 Lemon
-Lemon Pepper
-Smoked Paprika
-Garlic Powder
-Onion Powder
-Cajun Seasoning

Instructions:
-Preheat Oven to 400
-CLEAN THAT CHICKEN
-Light coat of olive oil
-Add seasoning… yeahhhh… don’t overdue the Cajun seasoning (salt content) but the rest you can’t go wrong
-Cook uncovered for 1.5 hrs🫶🏽 by @messagestomyselfofficial

Reflection: Since August, I began the interview process for CRNA school. Been walking in silence but the transparency is the point of this page. End of October I found out I was accepted into the main university. As exciting as it felt, I knew the main acceptance would be funding acceptance by the military. Unfortunately, 1/2 acceptance and I had to mentally reset to figure out next steps to come back stronger next year. Not going to lie. It hurt yet it’s not my first encounter with redirection and overcoming.

Sometimes we care so much about what others will say. The random sad faces trying to bring comfort. Yet, when you step back. Delay is sometimes a blessing you may not appreciate until you allow yourself to trust Gods timing.

Failure is only failure when you give up. Keep going. Try and try again. Success isn’t in the next accomplishment. Appreciate the journey. It’s one heck of a story.
