May 2025 be a year full of bold all-ins, with no bad run able to shake us. And when downswings come our way, may we stay confident and ready for the next flop!

We have a new player on the Micro team!

Dalton Schlitter started taking poker seriously just over a year ago. Since then, he has played about 500k hands with a decent winrate.

“I joined Metagame because I want to improve my game to become one of the best players in my pool and to move up the stakes.”

We have two new players on the team!

The Greek @alexandros_manouselis started playing poker in 2019 and, like many, focused only on tournaments. But after 3 years, he realized that the variance in tournaments was too high, and he made the switch to cash games.

“I began playing mostly NL5 and NL10. Although I lacked fundamentals and my thought process was scattered, I managed to quickly move up stakes to NL25, playing purely exploitatively. After a few months, I moved up to NL50. But then my lack of theory and experience finally hit me. I got destroyed, losing multiple buy-ins while also not running well. After losing most of my bankroll, a change had to be made. I moved back to NL10 and grinded my way back. I also started spending more and more time studying and learning from others. Since then, I moved back to NL50 and I am now shot-taking at NL100. Metagame will give me the guidance I need to crush low and mid stakes and move higher and higher.”

For some time now, the Irish player Rory Corriga has been playing poker with varying degrees of seriousness, but he recently decided to dedicate himself to the game full-time.

“I want to dedicate my full attention to poker and to become a full-time online cash game professional, hopefully fulfilling what has been a dream of mine for the best part of a decade. I have followed Saulo Costa on YouTube for a while and have heard great things about the MDA data-driven approach, which I think would suit me perfectly. I have been stagnating, and I believe that working with Metagame will help me get to where I want to be playing, like 500NL and 1K NL.”

Is it possible to move up from NL2 to NL100 in just one year?
Well, that’s exactly what Breno did!

The player who recently moved up to the main team talked about this limit climb, his impressions since joining the Micro Team, and how he balances poker with a "formal job."

We have two new players on the team!

Two years ago, the British player David Nelson decided to take poker seriously. He bought some coaching hours, took a course, and despite improving his game, he realized he needed updated guidance to finally become a highly profitable player.

“I've watched a lot of training videos over the years but they are obviously impersonal and not targeted at what your specific leaks are. I know I have a lot of leaks that a team of coaches who have been there and done that a thousand times could plug in a short space of time.
I believe poker players can be lone wolves and reach their poker ceiling but for me, and the same applies to business/life, having a group of players/experts coach and support will elevate you much faster to these goals. It seems pretty much every top pro these days has been part of some form of study/coaching group with like minded people and now it is my turn!”

The Argentine Santiago Alexandre, on the other hand, has been playing for just a year and has managed to move up from 2NL to 50NL. However, he realized that to establish himself at higher stakes, he would need guidance from those who have already been through it.

“I started feeling stuck at some point, and I was unsure about how and where to improve, also had some downswings, so I felt that it was time to have coaches and partners that had already walked the path, and can support and guide you in the process, and I think this is really important in a competitive environment that evolves really fast.”

We have a new player on the Micro team!

The Luxembourger Raphael Kemmer started playing poker in 2020 and has been moving up the stakes and studying consistently since then. For some time, he struggled to understand if his strategy was profitable, and this issue intensified recently when he faced a downswing at NL25.

"I joined Metagame because I want to learn from guys who walked the path I want to follow in the coming years, learn from people who beat the stakes I want to move up to, and build a winning strategy that I know is profitable and allows me to put in the volume, no matter if I'm in a downswing or upswing. Unfortunately, this is very hard to achieve when you constantly work on your game all by yourself."

Maybe you don't know @luistirelli yet, but you should.

Tirelli went from NL50 to being a partner in the team. He has been an analyst, instructor and now is one of the main people responsible for the Metagame methodology.

We have a new player on the team!

Last year the Argentine @sondaeneyre had the opportunity to join the team, but after a conversation with our partner @max.lacerda1 he understood that it wasn’t the ideal time. After that, he participated in the mentorship with our co-founder @saulotrcosta and realized that he wants to be the professional he wasn’t in the past.

“I did the menthorship with Saulo and I got in loved with the idea of beeing surrounded from people that not only look things as I want to look at them, but they are also a lot better than me in something like poker, and maybe also a lot sharper than me in aproaching life from a professional point of view.”
