From this past weekend: Being a part of the Eminent team for a few years now, one of the best things is watching it grow and attract so many motivated individuals from different backgrounds. These events are fantastic because they allow all the athletes to come together, learn about each other, have fun, and push each other to be better in our own journeys too. You're only as good as the people you surround yourself with. by @metalandiron

So tonight was special. Today is my mother's birthday, and with our close friends and family we had gone out to celebrate hers and my dad's birthdays, and their anniversary. What she didn't know is that our good friends Mark and Cindy got things set up for her brother, my uncle Vic (who mom doesn't get to see often) to come into town and surprise her for her birthday. My Dad and I were in on it of course. A lot of happy emotions! Happy birthday Ma! by @metalandiron
Always good seeing my friends, Nick and Brianna from @sculptedmd_mckinney at @hidden_gym vendor night! Staying on top of my recovery with a fresh Wolverine stack! From peptides to blood work, Nick can get you covered! Sculpted also now offers Botox and has a Red Light sauna, ask for Brianna and she'll take good care of you! For recovery, they also now have a Hyperbaric Chamber and cold plunge tank, as well as the entire line of Eminent supplements. I highly encourage anyone who's looking to stay up on their health to contact Sulpted MD in Mckinney by @metalandiron

Client spotlight: What initially started as physical rehabilitation from cancer treatments for Angie, turned into full on strength and conditioning training to prep her and her boyfriend, Joe, for a Spartan Race. Proud is an understatement. These two put their best foot forward week after week to accomplish the goal they set out for themselves. Each workout I'd make harder, and they'd grit their teeth and push through. The changes in their bodies and their output and what they could tolerate were apparent, and they hit their goal. Enjoy your well deserved rest you two! by @metalandiron
From this weekend's first ever Eminent Athlete Retreat What a cool experience getting to meet and connect with the other Eminent athletes! It was a day of great speakers, stories, games and growth. It's been fun being a part of this team and watching it grow. A huge thanks to @caseybarnette and @leslylovefit for putting this on for us and our amazing athlete coordinator @prettybrittyfit for keeping us all in line, organized and motivated! Can't wait for the next one! by @metalandiron

I've been lifting and training for 18 years now. I've been professionally training people for 13 years. My passion for this still runs hot. Story time. As a teenager, I was diagnosed with adhd. Now, that's not a particularly serious thing or anything as there are a lot of people who have some form of add/adhd, but it can be a nuisance to deal with. I struggled with some classes in school, I couldn't focus for much of the day as if there was a fog that settled over my head and wouldn't go away, a task that may take someone 30 minutes would take me 2 hours because I couldn't stay on track, so I was put on medication. It helped, and I stayed on it from 2004 until 2012. Over time, I became more resistant to it, and the doctors would up my dosage, and it hit a point where I just didn't want to take it anymore. I got tired of jumping through the hoops to get it, and I didn't like the way it made me feel. Coming off was rough when you had that much. You have the withdrawals, and the adhd symptoms come back. I was back to dealing with the low energy, the brain fog, and it was an endeavor to get anything done. I worked at the unt rec at the time, and I bought a preworkout shot from the store at the front to just give me a boost, and to my benefit, the symptoms went away. Turns out the dmaa in the preworkout was very similar to my medicine, but instead of lasting for 12 hours, it lasted for 2, but set me on a baseline so I could focus for the rest of the day. Over the years, as the supplement industry got more refined, I'd jump from pre to pre, and they worked in being a good substitute, but I would still crash hard after, just like my medication. That is until I spoke to Casey, and he had given me a bottle of Rage. It was the first time I was able to take a pre that had the focus ingredients I needed, that didn't result in an energy crash, and I could easily do my work for the rest of the day, which is why I've supported, and enjoyed working with Eminent these last few years. The attention to detail this company puts in their supplements and the care for their athletes really does make all the difference.
