Upcoming show van Canyon Literature!
EP RELEASE PARTY: Saturday november 1st, Podium Bredius - Woerden

🦩A night of doom + shoegaze + noise🦩
Hidden Since the Foundation of the World · Crashing · Farer

The abyss is loud, and it gazes back.

A night of loud and heavy music at OT301 with bands from across the Dutch underground, each arriving from a different direction. Farer build doom out of two bass guitars, no guitar, and a voice used as a primal scream. Crashing play reverb-soaked shoegaze and alt-rock in the spirit of Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine. Hidden Since the Foundation of the World sit in between: electric violin, fuzz and feedback, somewhere between early Sabbath and spaced-out noise, inside a wall of fog.

Slow where it needs to be, loud throughout. Three bands from 20:00, finished by 23:00. Entry €10.

Bring earplugs.

🦩WILDMAN METALFEST! 🐐

The 12th of September… 8 bands DESTROYED the stage at @wildmanmetalfest !

This was my experience on how it went! Straight up BRUTALITY! This was also my first time as a stagehand at a metalfest! Anyhow!

We started off with some crazy black metal from @dystopia_band ! I had never seen this band live before so this was a great surprise!

Next up was @opiumdeathsticks a band ive seen live a few times now! Amazing sound from these guys as always! The guys in the band are also the sweetest people!

Then another band ive seen live quite a bit! @2destroymusic also one of them first dutch bands i was introduced to when i entered the scene! Like always just an amazing performance!

Than another band i was really excited for @manasplagueofficial ! One of the bands i had seen live once before when i had just entered the scene! So seeing them live after actually knowing a bit more about them is always a great experience! Overal like always just great!

And ofcourse can’t forget our friends from @heskenofficial ! Ever since i started showing my face more around @regelaar_ruben these guys have just been appearing wherever i go! Luckily for me, these guys always know how to blast the stage to pieces! So u know i don’t have any other words than just AMAZING!

And ofcourse the legends themselfs @rfrmst ! I think that most people in the dutch metal scene have heard of these guys! Cuz they appear just about everywhere! Never anything bad about these guys, just straight up death in your ears! As a core kid… this is my… shit!

Have you ever wanted to headbang? Good! Go to a show from @inferumofficial because those guys… DO NOT MESS AROUND! Its just straight up heavy and fast! And thats exactly what you need! Seriously if you get the chance! Go to one of their shows, they will blast your socks off! Straight up METAL!

Last but not least! @martyronline ! Sadly enough i had to miss most of their performance because i was working and so i also did not have time to take a video of them to my regret! So that means i have to go see them live again next time!

I hope to see you all at the next @wildmanmetalfest

Thank you, Almere! 🤘🏼🇳🇱

We had an amazing time at our very first show in the Netherlands and it meant a lot to us! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

A heartfelt thank‑you to all the metalheads who came out and made the night and the trip unforgettable.

Special thanks to Marco for connecting us with Erik, who invited us and took such great care of us, to the @maniacsheavymetal club for the support, to @headbangersmarco for coming to the show (great to see you again), to all the metalheads in front of the stage jamming their asses off and to the entire team at @poppodiumdemeester for running everything so smoothly.

And of course, thanks to @wildeboerheavymetalnl and @toranagauk for sharing the stage with us. Great shows, great people!

What a fantastic night. Until next time! 😁

Auf loik! 🍺😎🤙🏼

🚨TOMORROW!🚨

The 36th edition of Meesterlijk Metaal presents an evening full of old-school heavy metal featuring cult band @smorrah_official , thrash pioneers @toranagauk UK, and the Dutch band @wildeboerheavymetalnl , demonstrating that traditional heavy metal is still very much alive.

On Friday, September 25, 2026, Poppodium De Meester will host Meesterlijk Metaal for the 36th time. This edition brings an evening of old-school heavy metal to Almere with a lineup heavily influenced by the British New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The bands from this movement laid the foundation for the metal scene as we know it today in the late seventies and eighties, and that influence still resonates.

This was @mainstream_off ‘s METAL NIGHT! 🎸🦩

11th of September i travelled all the way too Assen for 3 great bands! 2 bands i had never seen before and 1 band im sure a lot of us are familiar with

Starting out with @pale_1995 a band i had never heard of before but very much did impress me with their sound! The vocalist also has some very fun and interesting stage moves! We always love seeing people have fun! This was also the first time they played back in Assen in over 20 years!

Next up! The band that i had heard of before but had not seen yet! @newdawnfadesband also having a very fun surprising sound! Their vocalist seems to have great breath control while playing the guitar, still hitting all his notes! Very talented drummer aswell! They did get me headbanging to their drumsound! Their bassist also doing some screams in between is always a good thing!

Last but not least, a band ive seen live before! @baasdeband they can never get me to stop headbanging with their heavy sound! Great riffs, great screams! Always a fun experience with those guys! If you haven’t seen these guys live yet, but you love to headbang?! Go see them live as soon as possible!

Little side rant, during the show there was a bombcall at the station 10 minutes away! Which left me stranded in Assen 😂 Luckily the drummer from @newdawnfadesband @leonmiddelbosch offered to let me stay with him for the night! So a little shoutout to the legend himself! taken in New Café Image by @metalflamingonl
