A pleasant interaction with our friends from the media ahead of the Nagaland State & Para Games 2026, which gets underway on 2nd November. Preparations are in full swing as we make our best possible efforts to welcome over 3,000 athletes and participants from all 17 districts of Nagaland for the biggest sporting gathering in the State. Behind this massive exercise are hundreds of dedicated individuals working tirelessly to give our young sportspersons a memorable experience and a platform to showcase their talents. We appeal to all citizens of Nagaland to join us in prayer, encouragement and support. These Games are not just about medals and trophies. They are about dreams, opportunities, friendships and the collective aspiration to take Nagaland sports to greater heights. Together, let us celebrate our young talents, encourage their ambitions and inspire the next generation of champions. One TeamNagaland. One Collective Journey. by @methaabu
Happy to attend the Nagaland Literature Festival, organised by the Nagaland Writers Collective, an initiative we collectively undertook in 2019. It is heartening to see how far it has come, growing in stature and scale and attracting nationwide attention. The Nagaland Literature Festival is a precious intellectual property of Nagaland, with tremendous potential to emerge as a major international literary event. We will work together as Team Nagaland to take this vision forward. We need our own people to tell our real stories to the world. We must preserve, protect and propagate our way of life, and bring to the pages of literature the fireside stories that have been passed down through generations. Our journey must be told through our own lens, in our own voices. Our rich indigenous knowledge, traditions and wisdom have much to offer the world and humanity at large. Literature must connect people, bridge cultures and bring nations closer. Through our literature, the world must come to know us, understand us and appreciate who we truly are. Well done to the Nagaland Writers Collective, led by the gracious and gentle, yet resilient leadership of Madam Rita Krocha, and to everyone who has contributed to this wonderful journey. Let’s start preparing for 2027 now. Bigger dreams, greater ambitions and new milestones for Nagaland! by @methaabu

A pleasant and entertaining Kohima evening watching the Naga Territorial Army football team, the Naga Headhunters, take on Nagaland United in a friendly match ahead of the Indian Football League season opener. Grateful to our friends from the uniformed services for their continued support, friendship and partnership, led by Inspector General of Assam Rifles Maj. Major General Harinder Singh Mavi and Commanding Officer of the 164 Naga Territorial Army, Col JP Singh, VSM Commanding Officer 164 Inf Battalion (TA)(H&H) NAGA, fondly known as the Naga Gaonbura. These interactions and collaborations are strengthening civil-military relations while creating new opportunities and platforms for our talented youth. This is what peace makes possible. The rewards of a peaceful society, where partnerships grow, opportunities emerge and our young people get more chances to shine. May football and friendship continue to bring us together! by @methaabu
