In hip-hop, every generation needs someone who passes the torch. I’ve known Arka since our days in 4zeSound crew. Back then we were just kids chasing the culture; training, battling, dreaming with guys like @iceelegionx @kreesama @daniosaguintaah @kero_flowdurnb @luffy_redribbon @tonbeelecter_badness @w.iumc yamina❤️ and myself Years later, seeing the man he’s become… I’m very proud of him. Proud of his journey. Proud of the way he kept evolving in the game and most of all. Proud of the way he’s been giving back to the culture. Through the years he’s coached and inspired dancers like @lindsay_badness @kitokoel360 @4everlongomo @ni.curl and many others now shining worldwide. His new project YOU is about exactly that: legacy, transmission and empowerment through hip-hop. Because hip-hop was never just about moves. It’s about self-love, self-awareness and community. When Arka asked me to help him with his image, I approached it the way I approach any visual direction. I asked myself one question: what role does he play in the culture today? Not a dancer. Not just a teacher. A coach. A mentor. A Big. - 📸 @lilcamer 👔 @hnh_vntg taken in Paris, France by @methode_you
