Some parties take time to settle in, and April 10 was clearly one of them. When we first discussed this project, our intention was to curate a complete experience, with full commitment, care, and attention to every detail.

Months in the making, this is one of the events we’re most proud of so far. From the production team and sound engineers to the volunteers, staff, and artists, right up to our crowd: it came incredibly close to what we had envisioned.

Thank you to Taylor Shockley ( @t_shockley ) for stepping in at the last minute, selflessly packing two record bags and coming in clutch from Philly on less than 24 hours’ notice. That 5-hour closing set will be remembered for a very long time.

Moments like this don’t exist in a vacuum. Organizing DIY events today is increasingly uncertain. Spaces are harder to hold onto, rents keep rising, and evictions, both literal and cultural, are more frequent. To keep going under these conditions takes solid logistics, but more importantly, it requires resistance and a deep belief that community-building matters.

Thank you for being part of it.
