Extremely hot, dangerous temperatures continue to dominate NE Mississippi as we remain under a heat dome. Please prepare for the heat as best as you can, especially if you plan to be in Davis Wade Stadium this weekend!

First day back on the green screen since May! I'm excited to watch my growth as I continue through Prac 3 this semester and Prac 4 next semester.

A small chance for a shower/t'storm in NE MS this afternoon, and rain returns this weekend. We're on record high watch for Friday!

A Slight (level 2 out of 5) risk of t'storms exists west of the MS River today, with the rest of the Memphis metro and parts of NE Mississippi under a Marginal risk.

Simulated radar (HRRR from 1am on Thursday to 9am on Friday) shows scattered strong to severe showers and t'storms moving through the Memphis area primarily in the afternoon and overnight hours. Primary hazards will be localized heavy downpours and hail, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Hopefully, some of this rain will help with the widespread drought conditions that plague our area. Even if you don't get rain today, more widespread rain is forecasted for Saturday! by @metmattmill
