It’s hot out there. Bring all the water bottles. If you are in the neighborhood, you can get water at the shop. We also have electrolytes from Tailwind and Skratchlabs. We also have Gatorade in the fridge. by @metropoliscycles

THE TRUSTY SWITCHBLADE KORNMESSE weekend presented by @metropoliscycles is coming!

We partnered with @sellwoodcycle this year to bring you two exciting races 9/12/26-9/13/26.

Saturday Sept.12th is the Trusty Switchblade Kermesse. This race is a benefit and proceeds go to @teamboogercycling to support youth cycling development. Our course will include the Corn Maze and we added a DOGGIE DASH!

Sunday Sept.13th is Corn Cross. This beloved cyclocross race will bring you the fast, fun farm course you love with the famous fly over run-up and Corn Maze.

What is a Kermesse?
Well, it’s like cyclocross without the barriers but with a slightly longer race duration. (40 min Juniors, 50 min all categories except 1/2 & master 1/2 who race for 65 min).

What bike is appropriate?
Cyclocross or gravel bikes are the best option for both days.

When our beloved shop dog hates fireworks, y’all go to Oakridge and go camping. Oakridge got a ton of rain a week ago and the dirt is perfect. Thanks to @benguernsey for the campsite recommendation. @nwtrailalliance bought 30 pizzas for Sandy Ridge Shuttle day. Nothing like 🍕 and MTBs. We had the honor of hauling them to the trailhead. Thanks @sandy_sparkys and @nwtrailalliance .
