Lifestyle level up! Amazing kitchen transformation from a few years ago I finally snagged some after photos! (And yes…we were doing green a few years ago. 😉) Awesome clients, beautiful space, and one of those renovations that changes the feel of the entire home. Open but cozy and great for entertaining. PS- their son is awesome artist @ben_styer ! Check out his work! Super playful and keeps you looking. 👌#kitchen #kitchenreno #metrowestinteriors #metrowestboston #interiordesign @ashlandcabinet taken in Framingham, Massachusetts by @metrowestinteriors

A little powder room that’s big on charm in an old farmhouse in Upton, MA.

We paired the homeowner’s antique mirror with this delicate floral Sandberg wallpaper and a furniture-style vanity to create a space that feels right at home in this historic house in rural Massachusetts.

We wanted to keep it simple and sweet, just like it had always been there.

And yes … we had to move the toilet 🫣 but fortunately it was easier than usual due to the location of this powder room! Whew.

Just (don’t!) Do It!!!!! Art placement is important….and most of the homes I go into place it TOO HIGH.

Remember. Human scale. Majority of people need to see it and appreciate it- not just your 6’4” friends. 🧐

Where should it go? Middle of artwork should be around 62” off the floor - that’s 5’2” - bigger pieces I will sometimes nudge higher, but not much. 📏 taken in Sudbury, Massachusetts by @metrowestinteriors

Somewhere along the way, we turned fall into a palette of brown, rust and “spice.” 🤔

But a visit to Hanson’s Farm—right down the road from me here in New England!!—is a pretty good reminder to look at the real thing: brilliant yellow, fiery orange, vivid green and that incredible blue sky. Colors are VIVID!!!

Fall is a lot more vibrant than we give it credit for. And maybe our interiors can take a cue from that, too. 🍁 taken in Hanson's Farm by @metrowestinteriors

What I’m noticing lately 👀
Texture, sculptural forms, beautiful materials, and details that make you stop and look twice. A few things that caught my eye in the Berkshires recently.

Lighting changes everything.

Friday night at the ICA, I kept noticing how light transformed the spaces—from dramatic color and glowing spaces to string lights outside against the Boston skyline.

And then, naturally, I spotted this sculptural pendant installation on my walk home. Once you start paying attention to lighting, you really do see it everywhere. ✨
