• Our mission is simple: to provide exemplary education to each and every one of our students, regardless of their financial status or backgrounds.

With the determination of our teaching staff and continued support from generous donors and sponsors, Mianwali Education Trust will continue in keeping true to Dr. Mohammad Zafar Khan Niazi’s vision for the future for the under-privileged children of Mianwali: to escape from the bounds of illiteracy, opening doors to opportunities only an education can provide. by @metrustpk

• Throughout the year, we visit homes of the children of Mianwali who apply for our scholarship program.

What we see and the descriptions we hear of what everyday life is like for them, act as a continual reminder of our institutions vision and purpose.

This is the ground reality behind our cause. Every visit touches us a little deeper than the last. What makes one child more deserving of an education and the possibility of a brighter future apart from privilege?

Education should be a basic right of every child, and we will continue on striving to provide this right to the children of Mianwali. by @metrustpk

Mt. Everest Summit Celebration Event at Mianwali Education Trust

On 6th November 2025, we travelled to Mianwali to celebrate the first Pakistani summit of Mt. Everest (North Face) with the students of Mianwali Education Trust.

This was not my first visit of the school. I have been a proud goodwill ambassador of this incredible institution since 2023. Around 30% students here come from underprivileged backgrounds and receive free education via full/partial scholarships.

When we entered the school this time, we could feel a different sort of festivity in the air. From the morning assembly until the very end, there were so many celebrations and surprises - it was just a wonderful day full of joyful laughters and meaningful experiences.

Thanks to all the students, my little brothers and sisters, for giving us so much love and respect every time we visit the school.

Thank you for the celebrations, for honouring me with the turban, for the handmade cards, for sharing "your mountains" with us, for the surprise birthday, for asking such good questions during the panel talk, for just being yourselves. You made everything much more important and special. I am truly immensely grateful 🙏❤️

Thanks to all the teachers and school administration, you are the real heroes. We are so proud of your hardwork and dedication. It's a different world inside the gates of your school. Please continue to do what you are doing. There is nothing more important ❤️

All students at MET are our pride and we have all the belief that if you keep working hard with good intentions in life, you will be able to climb each and every mountain in your life. Please dream big in life. There aren’t any stars that you cannot catch!

All praises be to ALLAH and Him only.

A Day of Inspiration at Mianwali Education Trust 🏔️

We had the incredible honour of welcoming Saad Munawar, who became the first Pakistani to summit Mount Everest from the North Face this year, along with his wife Huma and his team of mountain guides, for a truly unforgettable visit.

From our immersive Everest Base Camp display to a student led interview and our school-wide “What’s Your Mountain?” wall - the day was filled with courage, curiosity, and inspiration 💙

Over 1,100 students shared their dreams and personal “mountains” showing that every goal, big or small, is a climb worth taking.

Our deepest gratitude to Saad, Huma, and the entire team for carrying the spirit of the Mianwali Education Trust to the top of the world - and for reminding our students that they too, can reach their own summits! by @metrustpk

🎉 Congratulations Alishba! 🎉

Through an initiative taken by MET two years ago to support a few of our top performing Matric students, we are extremely proud of Alishba Ammara’s outstanding performance.

She achieved straight A’s in both her AS and A2 Level and got recognised by @usefpakistan with a High Achievers Award.

She remained active in extra circulars, taking an accredited Python Course with Hudson Valley Community College USA. She also interned at Shoukat Khanum Cancer Hospital as well as Boondh-e-Shams solar water project.

Alishba was also nominated and qualified for the competitive college cohort which is an exclusively recognised advising cohort under the U.S Department of State Network.

We are extremely proud of Alishba’s achievements and dedication. We look forward to seeing her shine even brighter as she continues to pursue her higher education 🎊⭐️ by @metrustpk

We proudly reflect on our journey as the first school in the region affiliated with AKU-EB. Over two years, our teachers received specialized training in Karachi, strengthening our ties with the board. This collaboration led to our school becoming an official AKU-EB exam center, a relationship that spanned six years. Through workshops on item writing, e-marking, and the Middle School Assessment Program, we’ve continually empowered our educators and students. Special thanks to Dr. Thomas Christie for flying in from Karachi to support this milestone.

We are thrilled to share photos from our Annual Day which was held on the 2nd of November 2024.

The Annual Day is a special day in celebration of our Students, Teachers and Supporting Staff and their collective efforts for the smooth running of our institution throughout the year.

We are also always honoured to host guests every year who attend internationally, from different cities within Pakistan as well as from the local community in Mianwali.

A handful of our Alumni also attend each year, and share their personal and career journeys with us since graduating from MET. by @metrustpk

Mianwali Education Trust strives to stand out in providing novel experiences for our students.

We believe that there is so much more for our students to learn beyond the classroom.

Saad Munawar recently took three of our Class 10 boys to join him on a group expedition to Rakaposhi Base Camp.

Through experiences like this you learn how to work together as team, engage with individuals from different backgrounds, test your mental and physical strength, adapt to living in foreign environments and pick up skills in situations you would not normally be tested with.

We are extremely proud of our students who completed the trek successfully and went on to join the group on a tour of Hunza.
