. Protestors gathered at Te Pae to voice opposition against New Zealand's involvement in the space arms industry. I had several interactions with the police that day and I was amazed at how differently the female officers conducted themselves in comparison to the male officers. They were friendly, engaging and helpful; all in all, highly professional. The male officers however appeared fully intent on being as unfriendly and aggressive as possible. . . . . . . . . . . #protesters #peace #christchurchstreetphotography #mettaandlight #newzealandlife #christchurchnz #nzp_magazine #excionz #photographyislife #nzartforsale #nzimagery #nzphotography #travelnz #streetphotography #streetphotographyworldwide #streetphotographyinternational #streetpeople #streetphotos #streetphotographersmagazine #newzealandstreet #NZStreetPhotography #peteprue #sony #streetphotographyinternational by @mettaandlight
After a hard and somewhat bloody night out, a good rest in the early morning sun is in order. Getting close isn't just about filling the frame. It's about being present with the person in front of you, I captured a couple of frames of this gentlemen looking at me but he then looked away and it's this frame I like the most. . . . . . . . #peteprue #mettaandlight #streetphotography #streetphoto #streetlife #streetphotographer #urbanphotography #documentaryphotography #streetportrait #humaninterest #visualstorytelling #candidphotography #lifeinthestreets #santiagodechile #santiagostreetphotography #streetsofsantiago #chilephotography #southamericaphotography #latinamericanphotography #fromthearchive by @mettaandlight
Three portraits. Three people. Three brief encounters in the streets of Santiago. I never know exactly what I'm going to find when I walk out with a camera. That's part of what I love about street photography. . . . . . . . #peteprue #mettaandlight #streetphotography #streetphoto #streetlife #streetphotographer #urbanphotography #documentaryphotography #streetportrait #humaninterest #visualstorytelling #candidphotography #lifeinthestreets #santiagodechile #santiagostreetphotography #streetsofsantiago #chilephotography #southamericaphotography #latinamericanphotography #fromthearchive by @mettaandlight
How do you approach people in the street? I like to get close so there is usually some engagement prior to taking the image, even if it's just a quick acknowledging glance. . . . . . . . . . #peteprue #mettaandlight #streetphotography #streetphoto #streetlife #streetphotographer #urbanphotography #documentaryphotography #streetportrait #humaninterest #visualstorytelling #candidphotography #lifeinthestreets #santiagodechile #santiagostreetphotography #streetsofsantiago #chilephotography #southamericaphotography #latinamericanphotography #fromthearchive by @mettaandlight
Valparaiso. An amazing place to explore. After my camera dying in Cuba we arrived here and I purchased a Canon Rebel T5i for use during the remainder of the trip. . . . . . . . . #valparaiso #travelphotography #peteprue #mettaandlight #streetscene #cityscape #chile #morning #sunrise by @mettaandlight
Valparaiso - dingy, dirty and real. In the early morning with torn clothes, battered instruments, and dirt under their fingernails they gathered, laughed and made music. . . . . . . . . #streetphotography #travelphotography #peteprue #mettaandlight #streetscene #valparaiso #streetband #streetmusic #streetportrait by @mettaandlight
A blast back to South America. Cuba, Old Havana - what an amazing place! ❤️😎 This was taken the first night we were there. The next day my camera died and I wasn't able to replace it. I was absolutely gutted. . . . . . . . #cuba #havana #oldhavana #streetphotography #travelphotography #peteprue #mettaandlight #streetscene #pentaxk3 #pentax by @mettaandlight
