As a beauty and skincare enthusiast, attending Cosmetic Connect under the umbrella of MAN (Manufacturers Association of Nigeria) was such an insightful experience. ✨

It was a great opportunity to connect with manufacturers, cosmetic scientists and organic formulators, and explore the science behind beauty and body care.

A highlight was meeting the founder of @aneraresearchhub Anera Research Hub, whose intentional approach goes beyond making products to ensuring they serve their intended purpose.

From raw chemical ingredients to finished products, seeing the process firsthand was truly enlightening.

One thing that stood out to me about Anera Research Hub is that it goes beyond simply making skincare products. It focuses on the science, research and intention behind formulation.

From its Formulation Library, showcasing raw botanical ingredients and finished products, to its emphasis on evidence-backed beauty claims, Anera demonstrates the importance of understanding what goes into a product, why it's formulated and the purpose it is meant to serve.

My biggest takeaway: Beauty is not just about creating products; it's about creating products that work, are backed by science and deliver on their promises.

That's the kind of intentionality the beauty industry needs. ✨

Always learning, growing and staying curious about the beauty industry! ❤️

10 years of SheCodeAfrica! 💜✨

As a SheCodeAfrica alumna, I’m genuinely excited to celebrate this incredible milestone! 🥹

What started as an idea has grown into a beautiful community creating access, opportunities, and a platform for women doing amazing things in tech across Africa.

I love seeing how women are now more confident to take bold steps, make career changes, and build careers in tech—even without a traditional tech background. And I’m proud to have been a part of this community. 💻👩🏾‍💻

Here’s to 10 years of impact, and to many more years of empowering women, creating access, and changing lives across Africa. 🥂💜

Congratulations, SheCodeAfrica! 🎉
The journey has been incredible to watch, and I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years bring! 🚀

What does skincare made with us in mind actually look like?👀

@yokuroskin answered that question with its official launch, an afternoon that brought together skincare lovers, medical experts, creatives, and industry voices in Lagos.

Founded by @dr.adegoke, Yokuro is African clinical skincare that was scientifically formulated with ingredients dermatologists favour for skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, and barrier health.✨

Built on three simple steps: Remove, Replenish, and Reinforce.

Can you spot some of your faves at the launch? 💚

Girls don’t carry makeup. We GRIP it. 💅🏾
If you know, you know. A little gloss, a little liner, a little something for that flawless finish 🤭 all in the grip.

What’s in your girl grip? 👀 by @mey_lade
