It was gettin SPOOOKY up in @exitzerocoffee gang

I had no idea @chreeska Chris Mendozas song “Horror Films” was about ｍｉｓｏｇｙｎｙ and ｌａｃｋｏｆａｍｂｉｔｉｏｎ seen in a household 🫪 those are like keywords that send fires in my brain bruv.

Incredible, I align and relate with that so much, It’s pretty dope how similar our music is from a similar experience that we each had and I had only finally opened my eyes to it for real last night 👁️👁️ What the hecky, thank you always to our forever MF HOST Chris and the pigeonhatgang for yet another epic MF open mic!!

It was such a cozy time out here, i’ll have to come back more, espcially this time of year 🎃 thank you @exitzerocoffee !

Is it really September already?! The MF mic tour rages on and we have added an Allstars date at @bartermalloflv on Friday September 18!

MF Allstars is a variety show curated by @pigeonhatcollective from the pool of artists that perform at @mf.monday open mic. The bill is stacked as always, combining the powers of music, poetry, and comedy into a show that will surely make you scratch your head.

Barter Mall is free to enter and free to peruse but please consider donating $5-$10 to benefit @lasvegasliberation

Show starts at 5:30p by @mf.openmic

Holy smokes, MF's respawn at @thecomposersroomlv last night was two hoots and a huff. You may have heard, but MF the mic is in search of its next home! Sign up and share your talents with the circus any week this September!

*9/11 at @exitzerocoffee and 9/21 at @remorse.999 are ALL-AGES

*9/18 at @bartermalloflv is the second installment of our curated variety show, MF ALLSTARS

*thanks to @teethbrain for the wonderful tour flier

Feel free to DM us here at @mf.monday with any additional queries.

P.S. None of this would be plausible without the foundation of what we built at @habibisvegas Thank you to Jose and the community at our late and beloved bar for a home to nest and grow in. We owe this flight to your warmth and generosity.

Welp it's almost the end of August and we got some great news:

MF IS BACK! Or on its way back, anyway. The ache of the loss of @habibisvegas is still fresh but the spirit will live on wherever we root down--which is today's bit, really!

Since we are addicted to getting together to enjoy art, we hit the ground running on tracking down a new venue to throw down in. To our pleasantest surprise, a good handful of siqq spaces offered to inherit our gathering! We are still finalizing details but big thanks to
@thecomposersroomlv
@bizarrebarlv
@exitzerocoffee
@bartermalloflv and
@remorse.999 for opening your doors to community functions!

That being said, we are going to throw open mic at a different space each week of September and we want feedback from the community on where MF feels right (also what works the best and most advantageous to the running of a weekly). Some of these will be Wednesdays, some of these will be Mondays, and one I think is even on a Friday, but there are lots of moving parts to finding a sweet space to land in. <3

Thanks to @teethbrain for the amazing tour art which will also be finalized and reposted from the west at dawn on the third day, and we hope to see y'all MFers starting TOMORROW.

Goodbye.

Welp, it's the last MF (fr this time)
Where do I even begin?
The meeting at a fateful garden party?
The MF Squirtle mic near the bar door?
Perhaps the MF Wartortle mic just behind the wall?
OR maybe the MF Blastoise,
Fully evolved on the stage Aaron made

Ive seen artists and social outcasts
Coalesce into friend groups
Ive witnessed the art of people from far and wide!
Ive watched people find love at MF
Ive also seen them get cheated on, among other scandals
Ive watched the first baby steps of fledgling performers
And enjoyed the haughty strut of artists fully realized
In one or another form of the bar resisting or embracing the elements

I could really go on about the last two years and change of debauch and camaraderie here, but i wont. Y'all ready know! You were there.
And I hope to see you there, one more time.

Born in the fires of Aries season,
Prepared to die like a lion in the summer
I can't thank y'all enough for turning the dread start of the American work week into something a dude could really look forward to.

Look forward to MF All-Stars on Friday.
Look forward to MF reincarnating elsewhere after a short break.

Love u bye
-Chris

P.s. thanks Bill 4 the flier by @mf.openmic

You’ve MF’d your last Monday

You’ve Hola’d your last Habibi

This place has been only magical ✨

Memories I will take with me by @mf.openmic

we are all Shinji in a chair ~

the end is the beginning but we must first honor the end to begin again

due to 《《 circumstances 》》, this may possibly be the last @mf.monday at @habibisvegas

this mic really found its footing and home at this magical space, and many of us found our home away from home at this mic

we've laughed, cried, howled, moshed, twerked, freaked, embraced, bared our soul in this courtyard. let's do it one more time

we have infinite Chris Mendozas this mic as the original copy will be away for w*rk but come be Chris Mendoza with us, come be Habibi and let's celebrate all the times we've had together before we usher in the next iteration of whatever this mic will become next

we 💜 u to infinity and beyond

Greetings, MFers! Chris here, and im stoked 2 drop the details on an event we hope will be ongoing at an as yet unknown frequency--MF ALLSTARS.

MUSIC. COMEDY. POETRY. Long ago the genres existed separate from one another. Everything changed when MF dropped.

In all seriousness, seeing so many of yall hone yr art on the @mf.monday stage at @habibisvegas has been a distinct joy of mine the last two years and change. Ive been thinking to myself "wow! These fools are throwing down on a six minute slot and I want more!"

In the spirit of MF, this show is a multigenre variety show with three artists per class. MUSIC. COMEDY. POETRY. Come catch seasoned stars share the mic with budding talent at @nevadaclimbingcenter July 31st! by @mf.openmic

MONDAY IS BACK
If yr gonna look down on me 4 getting McDonald's

Miss you Tony
It ain't even time but we miss u already Adam
Our days are always numbered
Til we meet again!

MF and MF again
Perhaps in Austin, or wherever we can by @mf.openmic
