Happy 4th Birthday to our baby boy of the bunch Dru aka Druski bka Dru Dru! 🥳🥳

On this day four years ago, I went in for my weekly checkup. The doctor told me to go to the hospital immediately. I had been dealing with hypertension this pregnancy and Dru potentially had an irregular heartbeat. He’s my only child to be born in Norfolk being that we had to have him be seen by doctors at CHKD.

Long story short, his heart was fine and my blood pressure went down after birth. I’m sure @mrboilseafood just about every Friday didn’t help! 😅😅

But he is the perfect little boy. Gemini soul full of personality 🤣 be sure to send some birthday wishes his way! FYI he couldn’t wait to turn four! 🥹😩😭🎂 by @mfnerika

My first Mother’s Day without my mom. I’m doing okay but there are some days I cry but most days I smile. I get to reflect on the fun times and the not so fun times with my siblings and we’ve all come to terms that our life was good. We miss you mom. Keep looking down on us with Grama 🪽❤️ by @mfnerika

It’s been TWO years since I posted a static post! That in itself was a reflection and had me reflecting on these last two years.

I really don’t give myself enough credit and/or time to enjoy the present. With people passing, including my mom in August 2025, life really is short. Yet, it flies by like a thief in the night and before we know it, we’re gone…

This post isn’t to be morbid as much as it is to be reflective and intentional. Intention has had a strong hold on me and I know that God is going to move me and those around me with intention. Stay focused, stay expectant, give yourself grace.

I would say our bond has always been “there from the start.” We’ve grown so much in a few years that a lifetime doesn’t feel long enough. As we build our family’s legacy, let’s live and love hard from this lifetime to the next…🥰🥂😘
