No one talks enough about the pain

Of estranged friendships, relationships,

Even when it was toxic,

And it's end was for the greater good.

That moment it hits you,

Dang!

I failed again.

And yet another case of—

I gave my all

And have been left broken.

The pain this time around

Isn't even just about the wasted effort;

It's the fear of being incapable of being loved,

Of this cycle going on and on.

You're probably scared,

That at this rate,

With this number of heart breaks,

You might just develop a heart attack by 30.

For as many as are going through a very rough patch emotionally and mentally,

I pray you find your healing,

Many would think that it's only substances, habits and activities one can get addicted to...
But there's this even much stronger form; dysfunction.

You get so used to patterns, people, spaces, that no matter how hurting it gets, you just wouldn't acknowledge the abuse.

Not because you don't deserve better or can't get better;
You are now so familiar with the pain and used to the suffering, that you can't imagine yourself without it, without them—
Anything else feels like a nuance.

So you would rather dwell right there in the usual chaos
Than to choose your freedom and regain your peace.

For every single time
you find yourself here,
Always remember to take a minute,
To breathe,
And a moment to remind yourself,
That whatever comes by,
Will be for the best—
Maybe not now
But in the long run.

For there to rise contemplations,
There was most likely a strife.
Sometimes it's better to be lonely,
For a moment,
Than to live in dysfunction.

So, maybe this is your cue,
To let go and let God.

Not exactly sure how to describe the feeling,
But it's somewhere between overwhelming and unbearable.

Never had a more relatable experience
To "your best friend being your worst enemy".

Probably because the context has always been misunderstood
Or just improperly analyzed.

It's not necessarily enmity expressly
More like a refined version.

For someone who was your safest space,
You've now been left in chaos.

Your once biggest source of happiness,
Is now the fountain from which your tears flow.

The hands that held on so tightly, so keenly,
Have caused you your biggest fall.

All the promises, words, actions,
Now feel like whispers, and you're lost.

This isn't a feeling anyone should go through—
It's the worst kind of heartbreak.

It doesn't just break you—
Leaves you shattered into very many pieces.

What's even worse?
The unwillingness to let go.

Maybe it's just the uncertainty or optimism—
That things could be fixed, and be back to 'normal'.

No strength to accept this fate, or grace to move on,
So you're forced to sit there, in-between, NUMB. by @mfonbbng

I don't know who needs to hear this,
But love shouldn't hurt.

Yes, Love doesn't necessarily mean perfect,
And is never wholly enough.

It should be kind, not foolish,
Patient, not blind,
Caring, not manipulative.

Intentional love should bring peace,
A breath of fresh air;
Not constant thoughts and tears.

True love is a reflection of God,
Along with all He brings;
This is all the clarity you need ❤️ by @mfonbbng
