TADIS 2026, what a beautiful journey it has been!

From scripting and managing educational promotional skits for the summit, to sending emails, managing The @theafricandream_network social media pages for TADIS, and co-heading the entire Media Unit. This experience has been both challenging and deeply rewarding.

I am grateful to the Convener, @emanamfon.akpan , @paul_udah, @abasiono_etukudo, for trusting me with the opportunity to serve in a dual capacity as Co-Lead of the Media Unit and Social Media Manager for TADIS 2026. This experience has been both challenging and deeply rewarding.

A big shout-out to my amazing team members: our graphic designers, AI video editor, content creators, photographers, videographers, and video editors. Your creativity, commitment, and teamwork made this journey worthwhile.

A special thank you to @endiong_ema , the Lead of the Media Unit, for being an amazing leader with a great leadership spirit and strong work ethic. Thank you for your support and for making collaboration easier throughout the journey.

@jay_ikpangesang , thank you for being of great help throughout this journey and for contributing to making TADIS 2026 a success. Your support is truly appreciated.

A warm appreciation to TADIS Official Sponsor, @uforoabia .

Beyond the roles and responsibilities, TADIS taught me valuable lessons about leadership, teamwork, communication, and responsibility.
I am grateful for the experience, the people I connected and worked with, the lessons, and the opportunity to contribute to something I believe in.

Africa will not be re-engineered by one person.
It will be re-engineered by all of us!

Last weekend was nothing short of terrific at The AkanDavid Executive Institute of Public Speaking.

It was Cohort 17 Cultural Day, and honestly, it felt like we had stepped into an entirely different dimension of learning, culture, food and fun. It was like nothing we had ever experienced before!

The group performances, the incredible variety of food, the Harvard-trained palm wine, assorted fruits and vegetables, local cakes and an almost endless parade of cultural displays... the list is simply inexhaustible! 😂

The groups took turns to roll out unbelievably good performances. Each group came prepared to prove a point, and they certainly did! From the costumes to the presentations, the creativity, energy and cultural richness were simply remarkable.

And then, to crown it all, we had a scintillating training session on Event Anchoring, Negotiation, and the Business of Communication. Because at ADEIPS, even when we gather to celebrate culture, learning must still happen! 😂

Did I mention we had a mock traditional marriage involving two of our students?

We showed them how to anchor a traditional marriage from start to finish.

The close to four-hour session was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable Cultural Days we have ever had. It was culture, communication, camaraderie and competence beautifully wrapped into one unforgettable experience.

I must sincerely appreciate the class leaders and the entire class for their cooperation, understanding and willingness to make this happen. Great things become possible when people choose to work together, and Cohort 17 has shown that there is indeed strength in collective effort.

Beyond the food, fun, performances and photographs, something deeper is happening. The cohort is becoming. They are becoming more confident, more expressive, more conscious and more prepared to take their place in rooms that require competence and communication.

And yes, I will say it again: this is progress, even if I say so myself! by @mfonisomark

“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”

On Day 2 at The AkanDavid Executive Institute of Public Speaking - 19 September , 2026.

We intentionally brought light into the darkness within our lives.

It was a soul-stirring experience and a moment to pause, calm our minds, reflect on our lives, communicate with God, and speak life and light over ourselves.

In the stillness, we were reminded that even in our darkest moments, the light of God still shines.

We chose to let the light shine. 🕯️. by @mfonisomark

At age 5, I already loved public speaking.

I can remember vividly how I would arrange shoes and talk to them as though they were human beings. I would be so happy doing it, imagining myself speaking to audiences of different classes and calibres.

As I grew older, I noticed that I was very comfortable talking to anyone who could spare me a few minutes. I love people, and I love interacting with them.

Then, I discovered that there were public speaking academies that train people to become great communicators. From that moment, I envisioned myself attending one someday.

In my second year at the University of Uyo, I came across the SUG Vice President of UNIUYO, @baya_bassey, I admired her aura and the way she spoke so fluently.

Then, she mentioned that she was a student of The AkanDavid Executive Institute of Public Speaking (ADEIPS).

I promised myself that I would join the institute.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am now a proud member of Cohort 17 of ADEIPS. 🎤

Our classes commenced on 12 September 2026, and I am delighted and honoured to have been appointed as the third Class MC and the Leader of Group C of Cohort 17.

I cannot emphasise enough how amazing the first class was. I enthusiastically look forward to the remaining classes ahead.

May this journey be smooth.
May my strength not fail me.
And above all, may I be transformed.

🥂 Here’s to becoming a better communicator, and a better version of myself. by @mfonisomark
