Delighted to have led and assembled the advisory team behind Fuze.

This wasn’t about supplying expertise: it was about building a world.

EOD operators, senior police advisors, Royal Engineers, medical input: all integrated across departments to ensure the military and security reality held together on screen.

From cast training to on-set behaviour, language, and cultural detail: everything aligned to support story, performance and credibility.

Grateful to David Mackenzie, Gillian Berrie and the team for trusting us with that responsibility.

Personal note: I placed my late father’s Para smock in the EOD office on set. He didn’t get to see the work, but he was part of it in his own way.

Proud of the team. by @mfs.casting

So the guy originally cast as Vice Chief of the Defence Staff didn’t have the necessary bearing for a General; the only available No 2 uniform that had been made up with the appropriate decorations was a constraint (as you can see I’m barely contained). Due to shortage of time (36hours) and possible age-appropriate candidates with the bearing we wanted being rarer than rocking horse manure, one took on for the team and volunteered.
My erstwhile boss @greg_mor_h had delivered a beautiful line on the day but alas the story cut rendered it unused. Splendid couple of days on this project - delighted to see it’s #1 worldwide on Netflix today and pride of place in Times Square in NYC. The young situation room situation room soldiers in Episode 5 were Oxford UOTC and @mfs.casting. Great cast, splendid crew and an honour to have played even a small part. @mfs.casting @freddiekemp @joshuacarter1991 @barearmsfilm #hostage #netflix #castingagency #castingagent by @mfs.casting
