I’m thrilled to finally introduce myself—although I’m a day late, as I was off celebrating my one-year wedding anniversary yesterday! I’m Courtney, and I’m the heart and creative mind behind MG Events.

A little about my journey: I’ve been in the hospitality industry for over 13 years, and while I’ve loved every step of that journey, it’s been in the past four years that I truly found my calling in the world of events. During the two years that I spent planning my own wedding, I discovered a love for creating extraordinary moments, not just for myself, but for others. This was a turning point for me; I realized that helping others bring their visions to life was something I wanted to do and that’s how MG Events was born.

Event planning has always felt like second nature to me. I’ve always had an eye for detail and a knack for seeing the bigger picture. Whether it’s turning a simple, casual gathering into an evening to remember or creating an elaborate themed celebration, I take immense joy in going above and beyond. From gorgeous, one-of-a-kind dinner parties to unforgettable wine tastings and beyond, I pour my heart into every detail, ensuring that each event is uniquely tailored and flawlessly executed.

What I truly love most is the emotional impact of an event well done. Watching a bride’s eyes light up when she sees her dream wedding come to life or seeing the pure joy on a child’s face as they step into a room transformed just for them—these are the moments that fuel my passion. Every event I plan is deeply personal to me, and I feel honored to create these memories for others. There’s something incredibly about watching people experience these once-in-a-lifetime moments, and it’s a privilege to be a part of that magic.

My goal with MG Events is to continue creating those unforgettable moments and to bring together a wonderful team of people who share my commitment to making dreams happen. I’m incredibly excited to work with all of you and to embark on this journey of turning each client’s unique vision into a reality.

Meet our final team addition!

Meet Kiana 🤍

I’ve been working as an accountant for the past five years, but outside of work, I’ve always had a love for creativity, decorating, hosting, and bringing people together. Over the past two years, I’ve slowly found my way into the event planning world, exploring something I’ve always loved.

After spending the past year in the wedding industry, I’ve fallen in love with all the little things that make weddings so special. There’s something so beautiful about being part of such an important time in someone’s life! 🤍

When I’m not working, you can usually find me staying busy year-round—whether it’s figure skating, soccer, or golf, or getting creative with a crochet project or a good puzzle. I also love putting together themed parties for family and friends, always looking for an excuse to celebrate and make a get-together a little extra special. I’ve always enjoyed staying busy, trying new things, and finding little ways to be creative.

I’m so excited to be joining the team for the upcoming wedding season and I can’t wait to help make some beautiful days even more special. by @mg.eventplanning

MEET LARISSA 🤍

Many of you have probably already met this familiar face!

Larissa has been working alongside me for the past two wedding seasons, and not only is she part of the MG team, she’s also my cousin! Having family alongside me while growing MG makes it that much more special.

Now, a little more about Larissa, in her own words!

“I’ve always had a passion for design, creating beautiful spaces, and bringing meaningful moments to life.

With a background in fashion design and my current role in design and coordination for a high-rise developer, I’ve developed a love for the little details that make a big impact.

From creating visually beautiful spaces to coordinating all the moving pieces behind the scenes, I love seeing a vision come together seamlessly.

For me, weddings are about so much more than the details. They’re about creating an atmosphere where love is celebrated, memories are made, and couples can truly be present and enjoy every moment of their special day.

I’m so excited to bring my creativity, organization, and passion for design to every wedding I’m part of. There’s nothing more special than helping couples turn their dreams into beautiful realities and being part of such a meaningful chapter in their love story!”
