Officially a Master of Science!! 🧠🗻🍃

Last week I defended my thesis work on how access to green space impacts human brain development. This work has deeply reinforced how I view nature as a resiliency factor. Having access to greenspace is absolutely critical for our wellbeing and development. As our world becomes more urbanized, and continues to stray from our interconnected evolutionary roots, we must prioritize and protect our wild spaces. 🌍

Also!! Stay tuned, because this neuroimaging collective is only just getting started and next year we should have ~200 participants! 🤓🤞🏼 by @mhaaze

Anyone else missing De Wanna Wanga right about now? 👽💚

@ms.behavemusic absolutely threw down on the last night. If you’re misbehaving yourself, lucky you… you can find the full set here: https://on.soundcloud.com/nrTqdg8h63BhLc8K75

✨GMA Marge and Zoe take LIB✨

I LOVE when the line between the bit and reality gets blurry … for example, my full name is actually Margaret… and I’ve had rheumatic arthritis my whole life. My condition makes festivals/ performing (and all around life) extra challenging for me at times.

I experienced a flare of my joint pain/ immobility during LIB … and made the decision to full send into the bit for my own sanity (and coping through humor and embodiment).

Sending extra love to everyone who deals with chronic illness / pain, it’s like living on hard mode 🙃 by @mhaaze

Everyone go check out @asolemnpromise.co !!!!

My friend makes the most incredible sexy bass music and will be releasing more of it soon... Until then here’s a little sneak peak of one of my faves from him (with some old footage from justin_savino)

We all have at least one homie who sits on the most fire unreleased music right? ✨🫠🔥 by @mhaaze

Shoutout @kitcatkatelyn @elemental_aerial_arts for the gig, @jessiekat for the 📸, and @nyrus_music / @randomrab / @whitesand_gnar for the show 🎶 by @mhaaze

LIB, you never disappoint! 🌈 It’s always so incredible and healing to come back here. ✨ It feels so safe to authentically express in this space and it makes me find myself a little more each year.

Grateful for silliness, ritual theatre and community. 🙏✨

This year, I struggled with a flare with my autoimmune arthritis, which left me slightly disabled and in pain. Although it was difficult, my friends supported me in such a lovely way… and I leaned into my inner (and future) grandma self, Margaret. Forever on a process of alchemizing pain into art and embodiment. I love the journey that I’m on and what I get to share with others about levity and the release of shame in the face of hardship. 🥰 by @mhaaze

I didn’t run away to join the circus… but it did find me.

Okay story time….. Right after my master’s, the nonprofit I was working for went under, so I left Seattle and booked a one-way trip to Southeast Asia - where I ended up staying twice as long and finally properly experiencing solo-travel.

Somehow, I ended up in a circus community with people from all over the world. It was equal parts rest, chaos, play, and sincere belonging.

Looking back, that chapter held me through a tough transition, and helped alchemize my hardship into ritual theater, authentic expression, and personal development. Feeling grateful for this experience today and missing these lovely monkeys 🐒🎪 by @mhaaze

HEY YALL ✨Fairy Godmother Here✨

Mama needed a vacation after the show buttt… better late than never… Here are some shots live from the @levity.arts show at APOG!

Working with Katie and the crew to tell a story that felt so silly, raunchy, and socially relevant felt like actual magic. 🪄 Alchemizing our personal experiences into theatre and weird art was just what the land of far far away needed.

Aaaaand if you missed it, we served some hard (and admittedly cliche) truth wrapped in glitter… when it comes to dating, it’s rough out there. Be kind to each other, protect your peace, don’t settle for anything less than magic, and lastly BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR 💫

Thank you Levity crew, stage tech crew (@_fireopal @needleandpine), @maxbenedict.photo for the photos, @dustin.luke.s for sound, and @anypatchofgrass, for conjuring up this fairytale stage. 💜🔥

And if you’ve gotten this far, let this serve as a reminder… as the times get darker, you gotta let your art get weirder and louder. by @mhaaze

Went to Yosemite and somehow only got these photos of me eating corn. 🌽

Also happy summer!!! Let’s all actively work to overthrow systems of oppression, heal through creative expression, and support our communities! 🎀 by @mhaaze

Some candids of me practicing my act for the @anypatchofgrass @levity.arts show last year.

Thanks @amberinwndrlnd for capturing this moment, and for our lovely chat about alchemizing emotions into art ✨
