Judi, a dedicated SolMateo member for 18 years, recently shared a powerful reminder of the impact we create together at the Friendship Center.

At the September lunch, we were met with gratitude—smiles, applause, and heartfelt “thank yous” from MHA clients. One client even shared incredible news: he and his wife, who had been living in their car, had just secured housing in a local shelter. Their relief was echoed by friends at the center, highlighting the deep sense of community built here.

The Friendship Center is more than just a meal—it’s a place for connection, support, and belonging. Clients share their gratitude not only for the food but also for the kindness, understanding, and nonjudgmental space they find here.

Thank you to everyone who makes the Friendship Center a place of connection, care, and hope. Your support creates real change and touches lives in meaningful ways. by @mhaofsmc
